Can anyone help me, i just remembered some other crisps but i can't think of the bloody name :/

They were around in the early 90's and were like chipsticks, they had salt and vinegar and bacon flavour. The packet was like newspaper print and opened lengthways as in along the longest side.

I think i just remembered, were they 'crunchy fries' ??? anyway whatever they were called the bacon ones were gorgeous ;D

Walkers Salt and Vinegar
Smiths Bacon Fries
Branigans Ham and Pickle

Some fine crisps mentioned there.

Loving the Kettle crisps Salt and pepper and sweet chilli really work but have been asked to boycott them due the company not allwing their employees to be a member of the union.

Other honourable mentions go to Walkers Worcester sauce and Prawn cocktail.  Smith's Square Salt and vinegar are also very tasty.

Have 'kettle crisps' made it to Blighty yet?

In the States, there are a few manufacturers that have put out extra crunchy, really flavourful crisps, Cape Cod is one brand, NY Deli is another.  My personal faves.

Although it's beyond me why no Yank co. has brought out 1/10th the myriad flavours that are available back home.

Then again, not many Yanks would consider 5 pints and a bag 'o crisps a 6 course meal.
