The ancestry thing is infuriating. As a matter of simple probability there must be a few top players who've had a parent from Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia etc.

I'm to long in the tooth for that stuff now, I go with whats left in front of me and so far bar the FBs I'm doing well. My first 4 picks are class players but how well known are they, time will tell.

Sorted the final spot in the front three bringing in the goal machine Josip Skoblar, joining Stjepan Bobek and Mario Mandzukic. With that front three, there is one thing for sure, my team has goals!

Added a bit of defensive solidity to the with Igor Tudor, a player whose career was blighted by injury but when he was on the field, he was one of the best centre backs in Europe at the back end of the 90s / early 00s. Can either play centre-back or defensive midfield, so gives me some flexibility too.
