Congratulations  :scarf :wellin :thumbup
If your moral compass is Piers Moron then I ask you to think whether someone who oversaw illegal phone hacking and published fake pictures depicting War Crimes is an appropriate person to look up to. In fact, I'd suggest you're a bit of a c*nt.

Many congrats. :)

We paid ours off in 2017,happy days but it had the unfortunate effect of fooling my partner into thinking he could afford to retire.

Well done! I'm only a year into mine... but if I keep up my current overpayments and without taking into account any pay rises should be able to pay it off in about 14 years. I look forward already to not having any debts and payments going out.

We're having a couple of years out then Paul says he wants to work again as he's too young to retire.

I'm very ready for retirement as I've loads of things I enjoy doing to keep me busy and I'm only 5yrs away from it anyway.

Yep that's definitely worth getting it paid off mate.

I'm hoping Paul might do some training so he can find something he actually enjoys doing when he decides to work again.

Get it done mate, we've cleared ours just over 7yrs early which isn't bad when Paul was out of work for nearly 4yrs a few years into starting it.

It's been hard graft doing it and we've gone without a lot of things most people take for granted but it's done with now and we're still young and fit enough to be able to enjoy some freedom.

Steve's too young to retire, but it took having less than four hundred quid in his bank account to convince him of that. ::)

I can't imagine Steve taking care of anyone,he's one of those people who gets kicked out of shops because the staff think he's a vagrant who's come in to get warm and maybe nick a couple of jumpers.

He's a scaffolder.

Ooh scaffolding's a tough life too!!

[emoji23] at the vagrant image though I'm feeling similar recently with being furloughed and having a mass clearout at home as well as decorating pretty much every room [emoji50]

It's the only job he's ever done, good money but very little job security.

I'm not exactly the 'never a hair out of place' type myself but Steve takes scruffy to a whole new level.

I haven't forgotten I owe you a puppy pic btw. :)

My ex son in law is a scaffolder but he's also a qualified painter and decorator so has something to fall back on if there's no scaffolding work on.

I can't really have a bad hair day seeing as I'm a hairdresser but when I'm not seeing clients it's the last thing I think about [emoji23][emoji23]

6-8 weeks at least so generally around now mate as it doesn't really improve if you leave it longer.

That's hell of a lot of gin unless you use it as Christmas gifts.  Me and my sister used to make mini hampers for work colleagues and friends.

A selection of home made jams, pickles, chutneys, damson gin, elderflower champagne and occasionally cider.
Yes it’s a fair bit, but we’ll be giving a fair bit away.
Have you got any ideas of what you can do with all those gin soaked damsons?
Too good to Chuck, we were thinking about adding some to mincemeat for mince pies, but not sure after that, but there’s a 3 litre jar full of them  ;D

Have you tasted them?  They're disgustingly minging so although it feels like a waste to throw them, the compost is the best place for them.

No, but Mrs A did while she was bottling the gin last weekend, she said they were nice and that we need to do something with them. I think they must have got her a bit pissed and it affected her judgement  ;D.

I'll try them and if I think they're shite they're going.

If you see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and a nice pond in it, you fill in the pond with concrete, you plow the family into the soil, you blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for your wife who is also your brother.
