His alternative statement:

I have had six very happy years at Tottenham but it's the right time to say goodbye. £300k a week! Fuck me! Can you believe it? I Fuckin' can't. Jesus £300k a week, what the fuck am I going to do with that. Fuck me. Fuckin' hell even my agent cant believe it. I mean come on £300k a week. For SIX FUCKING YEARS. Yeah I loved my time at wherever it was, and look I'm doing one of those heart things, but £300k a week. Eh...eh £300k a fuckin' week.

I have always wanted to play for £300k a week, er I mean always wanted to play for Real Madrid. £300k a week! Do you think it would be taller than me if it was stacked up in tenners? Fuckin' hell not bad for a monkey faced boyo from the valleys eh?

Gareth Bale's wage breakdown at Madrid:

Yearly: £15,600,000
Monthly: £1,200,000
Weekly: £300,000
Daily: £42,857
Hourly: £2,040
Minute: £34

The sad thing is, there are players on more money than this.
Let me tell you about the times when tackling was allowed

You have your opinion and I have mine.
I never said swap for any of our current players. I said I would like to have them in our squad. Deep down you would probably agree.
We can all look thru our red tinted glasses, especially after a win against the mancs. As well as a die hard red I am also a football fan. I am honest enough to know our squad are not world beaters and are certainly not title contenders (I'm not saying spurs are either before you start).
At least 2 of their players would improve our squad!

But they wouldn't play every week and would just be money wasted.  Our squad players are young and hungry for it, trying to make their mark with one of the biggest clubs in the world.

I prefer it that way, than expensive over-rated mercenaries sat on the bench with a sulk on

Well obviously. You could say that about most top teams if it was about taking their top 1-2 players In a position and swapping them for our 1-2 weakest in that position! But as a set of players (which gives a better indication of the quality and depth) I'd rather have our front 4. Which will potentially be Sturridge Suarez Coutinho and Moses this season.

And it's not rose tinted after the mancs game. I've been saying it on this thread for a while. And as I said we outscored them last season as a team too.

Being jealous would imply they have a great set of attackers compared to what we have. I was just wondering about that slight envy because we have a better set of attackers ourselves!

Wouldn't say "easily" at all but I think Spurs will have a lot more trouble than they did last season. Eriksen and Lamela need to hit the ground running.

Over the last 14 months, they have lost their most influential players, both on the pitch and in the dressing room. Here is the full list of the senior players' departures, since Villas-Boas took over last summer:

Luka Modric
Rafael van der Vaart
Ledley King
Vedran Corluka
Niko Kranjcar
Steven Pienaar
Sebastien Bassong
Giovani dos Santos
Carlo Cudicini
Jermaine Jenas
Louis Saha
Ryan Nelsen
Ben Alnwick

Gareth Bale
Scott Parker
Clint Dempsey
William Gallas
Steven Caulker
Tom Huddlestone
Jake Livermore*
David Bentley

Yes, they have signed some quality players as replacements, but as I have said, it will take some time before they become a proper team. At the same time, the pressure of finishing in the top 4 is bigger than ever.

I heard Levy wanted to do this as slowly as possible to bug Arsenal and other rivals. Because Real Madrid would only sell players if Bale was signed. And those players would probably be sold to Arsenal (Di Maria, also Özil rumors). Now other clubs have little time to get a deal.

Rumour is that it was to try and stop Arsenal signing any Madrid players.
Not sure how true that is considering Arsenal seem to be making a move for Ozil.

Spurs lacked creativity down the middle - the difference was that walcott recieved balls in behind the spurs lines to cross at retreating defenders, whereas when Townsend and the other beat their man there were six players back to easily defend crosses. Eriksen should fix that but he'll need time to gel in. Spurs could struggle meantime.

when did Capoue get injured? Oh... I thought it was Dembele. That's a pretty hefty blow for Spurs considering his performances so far.
You could open a door with him, he's such a knob.

I'm glad you're not jealous! I don't want you to be jealous of them, hence my rebuttal when I thought you were. There's no need to be jealous of their attack!

I think they could get CL so wouldn't bet against them. I don't necessarily think the top 3 last season will be top 3 this season afterall. There's a lot of unknowns, but I'm just backing our lads to get more than 70pts, which will put us up there in the mix too.

Took me ages to get back from Anfield, but I just watched the game and was roundly unimpressed with Spurs. However, intense-rivalry games are often short on quality. Giroud took his goal very well, and I like the look of Chadli so far. Hope Capoue's injury isn't as bad as feared. Wish him a quick recovery.
