He's a physical specimen, he's not done for a while don't you worry.

Enjoy yourself Stevie, have a happy birthday. And remember, if you and the rest of the lads work hard enough next season you'll be turning 30 as the Captain of the Premier League champions!

? Should be good for 3 or 4 years in his current role, then perfectly capable of dropping back into midfield for another 3 or 4. He's an outstanding athlete, not going to fall apart when he hits 30.

Happy birthday, Stevie.

You reckon Stevie is gonna be playing when he is 38?

29 + 3 or 4 + 3 or 4 = 35 to 37. Not 38.

35, easily. 37 or 38? Quite possibly, if he wanted.

I think his advanced role will help prolong his career. Doesn't have to get back and throw himself into as many tackles.
Also think he should do a Carra - win the World Cup next summer and then close the curtain on England.

He should have retired ages ago.  As for the rest of his career, I can see him filling in for Torres on occasion as he ages slightly.

Glad our team knows how to conduct itself:

Most players honoured in recent years by the Football Writers’ Association — Cristiano Ronaldo being a prime example — arrive late and then leave as soon as possible.

However, the worthy 2009 winner, Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard, restored faith in Premier League superstars last Friday.

Not only did Gerrard appear genuinely proud to have won English football’s most prestigious individual award — punching the air as he held the trophy — but he stayed long after the dinner had finished, talking to journalists around the banqueting hall at the Royal Lancaster Hotel and saying how much he had enjoyed the evening.

Many Happy Returns of The Day Stevie

Maybe on your 30th next year there might be less room to put your cards if you've got a certain piece (or four!!) of silverware hanging about the house!!!

Expect to see pictures of him cutting cake and blowing out candles with Carlo Ancelotti before the week's out.

He will be playing till he's 35 easily. How many people moaned and had heart failure when we signed Gary Mac? I seem to remember him doing a pretty good job at an 'advanced' ;) age.
