He's the systmatic route of why we are in this predicimant.

A very average player. Played well a few weeks back against Spurs, but has sinse returned to usual safe side passes.

Our expectations are so low if some of are rating Lucas.

*Sigh* Could I ask that if you feel we are mistakenly rating Lucas that you just refrain from reading these threads and posting what is tantamount to WUM inflammatory comments?

Roy has his ready made excuse for full time then,
he likes to blame everyone but himself.
"There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all"

He had a very solid first half but I bet that miss (which was admittedly a bad one) is what the 'Lucas haters' will focus on.
Don't know, I reckon they'll blame him for Bolton's goal as well.

Yes, that's right. That miss, rather than the rest of the season where he's played his best football for us so far, sums him up.

Honestly, do you even engage your fucking brain before spouting that crap?
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

I can tell from your spelling that you're a simpleton.

Time and time again we hear the "Lucas = sideways passes", do you want me to get the chalkboards out?

Go home.. nobody is interested in your idiotic comments...

He's a 'very average' player that captained Brazil's under 21 side, that now plays as a regular for Brazil, and has been our best performer this season.

Leave it out son, we can all have different opinions. I think he's woefull.

Your Brazil argument is a little lightweight too, he's featured in a few friendlies when the main stay have been rested, he's buy no means a regular, hence his non selection for the world cup ... and even Jo has captained Brazil U21 !!

His best football has been superior to most of our first team. If they are inferior to Lucas then surely in your logic they are they not good enough and we should get rid of them all?

You know, if you're trying to disprove the theory that those who don't rate Lucas are stupid, you might try a little punctuation. And perhaps a lengthy summary of why you don't rate the player, in full sentences, neatly paragraphed. Without using the trite and meaningless phrase 'not good enough'.

Because at the moment, you're the poster boy for the Yorky theory.

You sure? His goal record is abysmal. He's improved recently but he's still way below the standard we demand at this club.

I meant better than that as in he should be able to score from 3 yards out and connect with a ball properly.. I wasnt saying his goal scoring record suggested he should score goals.

Seriously do you judge a player on 1 touch in ahalf of football? He's been playing well in my eyes. Still maybe you can call Talksport and tell them your incitive views on the game, you'd fit in well on there.

I can't believe some people are having a go over a missed chance. Misses like that happen when a team is devoid of confidence and struggling. Players snatch at things and shit happens. We are in serious danger of being relegated if the manager is not changed and changed with immediate effect.

It's almost as if they think - "He's made a mistake! Quick get on the forums, and we can convert people back to our belief he's poor. They just need to be told again 'He is not good enough' and to ram home our point about the mistake being 'Not Liverpool class' and we'll get them bashing him again"

It's pathetic really.

Exactly why I don't post on here as much as I'd like to. Far too many fools who can't see past the end of their nose.

It's the same with the few who still defend Roy, seems to me they would rather defend him till the end of days then just admit they were wrong .

And they're all out. Lucas misses one chance (a chance when he rarely has the ball at his feet in the opposition's box) and it defines him as a shit player apparently.
Ahh, pressing refresh and waiting for news... just like the bad old days.

You can have a different opinion, but:

1) You're objectively wrong on the sideways passes bit
2) You're the worst kind of Sky-kid-fan for slating a player for a miss - is Torres also 'woeful'?
3) You're objectively wrong on Brazil too

No-one answered this question earlier, but Alonso very rarely made it into the box and thus never gave himself the chances like this. Were expectations that low for him too?

Lucas is good, lets not be daft and call him class though... and this is from one of his biggest fans who's had 100's of arguments defending him past couple of years!

anybody who says they wouldnt swap him for alonso or masch back is lying

I think you could win a league with lucas in your team, the problem is he would have to be one of the weaker players in the side whereas right now he's one of the best in our team.

Getting better and better this lad, could do with a goal but at least hes getting into those positions. Proper footballer and if you cant see that you are following the wrong sport.
