Understat had it at 0.27.
That's a very decent chance that a decent striker should be scoring. Mac isn't particularly good in the air. The emphasis was on a "decent striker". 0.27 looks at the average player and not just strikers.
Like I said, a Michail Antonio or a Jarrod Bowen buries that and they are not world beaters.
It's almost as if that goal had been coming for five minutes before-hand, via approaches we've seen repeated many times this season or something.
We became a lot stronger when Klopp convinced Van Dijk to turn down City and Chelsea and sign for us. Do you honestly think that happens without Klopp meeting up with Van Dijk.
What does this mean in real terms?
Darwin this season is averaging 22 passes a game, completing 71%. He is playing 2.2 progressive passes per game and is at 0.23 xA.
Feyenoord's primary number 9 is averaging 15 passes a game with a 67% completion rate. He is playing 1.4 progressive passes per game and is at 0.13 xA.
Easier to replace a defender than someone who brings goals and assists.
I'll sell Trent or Virgil before. Also the Saudis aren't going to spend like crazy this time
So about the same as Benfica when Nunez was ripping up the League.
