Disappointing with no Thiago, particularly with the low block they are likely to play.

Some young players in that team. Need a big game from Harvey and Curtis.
Think Forrest will come out quickly, we need to ride the storm and pressure them into mistakes.

Thiago out now.

Fucking hell, i’m sorry but that’s a midfield that literally wouldn’t look out of place at Forrest.

Jones looked nowhere near fit in his cameo on Wednesday so I’m surprised he’s been given the nod. Would have played Henderson for 60 and then made the change.

Minor miracle if we win this.

They are an horrendous side

Good grief
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I mean, we should have enough to get three points with that XI/bench but it just feels brutal with all these injuries. Hopefully have a couple back for Ajax and if not some for Leeds. We're in a good position in Europe but you worry about Ajax if the team isn't as good as what we go with here. They haven't looked great this season but it could be a really tough game.

@JamesPearceLFC

Double blow for #LFC with Nunez and Thiago both ruled out of today's game.

Damn it. Just hope it's a precaution and they're fit for Ajax away. :-\

Questions seriously need to be asked about those charged with keeping our players in peak physical condition at the club.

This is the kind of team we’d put out in an FA cup tie against championship opposition. So it should still be enough to beat Forest but it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

The reason why we get so much injuries is actually pretty simple. It's a mix of us signing injury prone players, keeping players who are/who turn out to be injury prone, along with overplaying certain players because we don't have adequate quality backup in that particular position.

Jones, carvalho and Elliot starting away at forest shows exactly how thin on the ground we are. Having to start Jones who’s only just came back from an injury and didn’t look fit at all when we he came on. Hopefully it’s just a precaution with Thiago.

Serious questions must be asked of the way these players are being trained and of our medical department. This is absolutely ridiculous. It happens to no other club this frequently. Every fucking game now.

Ear infection for Thiago.

That's not too bad. With some antibiotics, he should be o.k for midweek. Hopefully, anyway. Shit luck though.

Injuries have left us very light up front. No attacking options on the bench. Team should be strong enough to win comfortably but it leaves Klopp with 1 hand tied behind his back if it's still close with 30/20 minutes to go.

Premier league has the most injured players across the top 5 leagues and were third on the list one player behind united but 17 behind Chelsea

Expecting to be first after this season

We could always start Oxlade and see how that goes  :lmao

Anyway, on the positive side great to Bajectic and Clark on the bench, both very talented so excited to see if they get a cameo

No excuses for not beating Forrest with that team

Not surprised to see Jones starting this one. We need to finish this one off early

It’s still enough to beat Forest, but this isn’t sustainable.

And to think quite a number of posters in the transfer thread during the summer claimed our squad was too big

They will certainly feel they have a chance after seeing our line-up. Hopefully, that will play into our hands. Big performances needed from the three youngsters in midfield.
