Gomez has been excellent but Robbo is far superior at left back, Gomez is a better all rounder than most (probably all?) players in the team

He’s really not, he’s done a fantastic job but limits our attacking play, we need width.

Only fair I praise his performance off the bench the other night when I’ve been critical in the past. He was excellent, full of energy and a perfect cross for the game-killing goal. His early introduction was a microcosm of why he has frustrated me in the past year, lacking the technique to hit the target on that volley that really he should have scored. However, that doesn’t go hand in hand with his crossing and his ball for the goal was excellent.

Hopefully can hit a vein of form in the run in, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get his first 90 today.

Gomez over Robbo would only be tactics to contain left-footed wingers cutting in. Robbo is obviously a far superior left-back. Came on with heaps of energy last match, which is something we need against today's c*nts.

More a matter of Gomez making himself indispensable i think. Gotta be in there somewhere. Inverts from lb as well and since Trent is out that's pretty useful also.

Like all the other players who have been injured, Robbo's got to work his way back into some rhythm. Hes getting better with every game. Almost there.

Yeah we only scored our first goal from his corner.

And I’m not sure he hit the first man once, the only time I recall that happening is when Szoboszlai took over from him.

He's added so much dynamism to the side in the past few weeks, of the senior players feels like he's the one that's really stepped up to try and drag us over the line (and Trent, since coming back from injury).

There was this talk at the start of the season, I heard it on the wrap several times, that Andy was not a great fit for our current style of play. It really jarred with me at the time, but having him and Trent back this week, cometh the hour cometh the man, wherever that quote is from, they were both massive difference makers in that game yesterday. I think to be fair, the needs of this end of the season are different from how a team should start a campaign. Getting the ball in to the final 3rd in the first half as often as possible is more important now than when we were being relaxed about conceding first.

He's had one or two better performances lately, but his race has been run for a good couple of years now. We'd be far better off getting another 6ft+ defender into the team into his position.

I think we should be looking to get a LB in. Whether it's a starter or a young talent, I think Robbo is done at the top. I love the guy, but that's how it seems and has been for a while.

That was bad. He’s been fairly awful with his distribution but that went up a few notches. He got one past the first oppo player only to go over everyone and the rest were piss poor, easily cleared.

I remember chamberlain done an interview and said how bad he was at rondos and stuff like that where you need technical ability. He’s all heart and determination but the older he gets the more apparent you can see his technical ability. That was truly abysmal out there.
