That goal at the end should have stood, and we could have at least taken some enjoyment from Pickford's crap attempt at a save.

The next frame is worse. Virg standing leg planted down and knee hyperextended. Real risk of a season ending injury. Surely since the ref "missed it" Pickford should get a retrospective red card for dangerous play? Fucking shit house

He did a similar thing to Mina, his own defender!, just before the international break. He’s a massive liability and completely brain dead. VAR rescued him twice today. If there’s any solace it’s that it didn’t cost Everton, so hopefully he keeps his place in the team.

Been confirmed that Coote didn’t tell Oliver to check for a potential red card or even call a check on the red card himself. He sorted the offside and decided to completely ‘forget’ and not check the tackle an potential red card on VVD.

Curious.

Keepers have got away with this kind of shit for far too long.  I’ve lost count of the number of two footed lunges Ben Foster put in over his career, only to be praised for being “big” or “brave”.

They know they can throw themselves at players and be wildly out of control and get away it.  Defenders hurling themselves into wild challenges to “block a shot” seems to be allowed as well.  It’ll probably take another David Buust situation before they clamp down on it.

He would lose his place if he gets a ban and then his inexplicable England position.

If Coote has seen that and said not even a yellow he should never ref  again. Everyone who has played the game thought it was horrific.

Torn being wanting his career finished by a ban and not wanting Everton to have a better goalie.

If I have the displeasure of seeing him at another Anfield derby I will buy loads of blow up T Rex and distribute  them amongst the crowd.

Don't think VAR decide on yellows, just reds? Although he should deffo have got the ref to look at his monitor.
