Really worried about our form. We have gotten worse and worse since about november.
Have to say I agree. Take any one of our front four out of the team and we seem to struggle an awful lot.
Really poor so far today. We're in trouble if we don't improve. It had that 12.30 kickoff feeling from the very start - no urgency, no intensity, no penetration. Textbook Liverpool after last week, which was probably our best performance since the 0-0 at Southampton back in November.
Henderson needs to set the tempo -- and these shouldn't be particularly difficult games for him -- but he's been awful. Gave the ball away five times in the first 15 mins.
Also think Klopp should be doing more. We've become progressively worse at breaking teams down over the season, which is disappointing. But what are we doing to combat it? It feels like we're trying the same thing again and again, expecting different results.
Also, the way we are set up is quite odd. If you aren't going to play with wide players -- and we aren't, even less so without Mane -- then you need attacking fullbacks to provide the width. Clyne needs to up his game and offer more, whereas Milner -- as good as he is -- can't magically become left-footed, so he's quite predictable and somewhat limited in his play.
Can and Wijnaldum are the new Lucas and Mascherano: one is fine, both are overkill. Barely seen either one of them so far.
Personally I'd get Moreno on for Miller, drop Lallana into midfield and take off Wijnaldum/Can for Sturridge/Origi. It would stop us looking so lifeless and blunt, at least. We've basically given Swansea a free pass in that first half, and now we're under pressure to score.
At the moment it feels like most of our players, fans and staff are just waiting for a moment of inspiration from one of the front three, and that's not good enough. If we're not more prp-active in the second half then we're in real danger of dropping points here, and that would be a big, big blow.
