My Mrs as suddenly decided to buy a tent and start camping again something she used to love doing as a kid. Anyone have any recommendations of good sites within a 40 mile radius of Liverpool. Thanks

I camped at Wirral country park in 1975 - that's all I can offer I'm afraid.

Some of these in Cheshire may do the job;

I’m sure you’ll find some easily accessible sites around Rabin and Llangollen as well.

Can't go wrong with Cumbria and the Lake District.

North Wales is also good except the continual rain.
