Spoiler
Not saying I'm glad about what happened, but I always felt that the actor playing Sigurd never really got the accent right (always sounded slightly Irish to me), and looked a bit like Robert Webb playing a parody Elf.
[close]

I'm saying it.

Spoiler
Most talentless actor from the brothers and glad he got out of the way. His silly way of talking did my head in as it does with at least a couple more.

Ivar's character development keeps going on after what happened and one of the things I'm looking forward now as far as this series is concerned.

The battle was indeed short but I reckon was by far the best depiction of one throughout the whole series.

Finally, (former) King Ecbert was enjoyable till the very end.

Major new character introduced this week....

Spoiler
From that brief intro we saw of him, I suspect he's just going to be playing his Henry type character from the Two-ders.
[close]

But a good ending to that series.

Spoiler
I'm wondering what fait awaits dumb and dumber, (those characters, one who has the Phil Oakley like haircut) when Lagertha gets her revenge for the botched attempt at her overthrow the other week, that is if someone doesn't get Lagertha first.

It's worth having a skim of the following links for outlines of possible ways this could go.

Spoiler
That battle with the English was quite farcical ,The English were made out to be tactically naive and downright stupid. Would have been much better seeing them just beaten rather than chasing around like schoolkids.

Also..what was the ending all about?
I am defo missing part of the storyline there!?

Just watched Season 1 Episode 8.

Essentially a 'Bottle' Episode but one of the best fillers I've seen for a while.  Really interesting stuff and educated me on the Temple at Uppsala and the human sacrifices that occurred there.

The great thing about seeing a bottle episode is the knowledge that the final episode is gonna move the main story on considerably and probably be epic :)

I binged all four series over the last month or so, love it!

Now onto The Last Kingdom.

Is The Tudors worth a watch? I see it has the same creator as Vikings.

I loved The Tudors so I would say yes. The executions are a bit brutal though, but some will like that no doubt.

I'm similar to yourself, take me ages to finish some shows. Think I'd need to live for a thousands years. I've even started writing shows down and sticking a pin in it to pick one. Still haven't touched the recent Last Kingdom as I've been working through all the Marvel series.

Have finished season 2 of Vikings but haven't gone further as I heard a spoiler about season 3 which I'm not happy about seeing.
Just saw season five is on this November, so that's another for the list.

The History Channel have a new series coming soon December 6th. Nightfall is based in the clandestine world of this legendary brotherhood of warrior monks. From their battles in the Holy Land, to their complex relationship with the King of France, to the betrayal that would ultimately lead to their tragic dissolution.

Thought the 1st 2 episodes were good. Sets the scene for the rest of the season  nicely.

I was worried about the show with out most of the original cast, especially  no ragnar, but they have gotten me invested in the sons now.  Any one think we will see rolo again?

Holy shit. Just watched episode 10 of season 4 thinking what a strange ending to a series and to be honest thought it was about right with Ragnar asking his now grown up kids who wants to be king.

Just found out that was just a mid season finale.  There are another 10 episodes of season 4 to watch!!

To say I'm Happy is a fucking understatement :)
