Feel the same mate.
Ive never been so distant to it.
Performances. Klopp leaving. Man Cheaty 115. Refs. Var. Can't celebrate a goal. Fan exploitation.
It's not the football I fell in love with

Can’t even get worked up. I’m not sure I would even have got that much pleasure if they had done it, I would have been pleased for Klopp obviously, but the sport itself is just a complete mess. It feels broken. It’s been heading that way for years, but I think it’s left me behind now.

Governing bodies messing with the structure just chasing more and more money. Allowing clubs to circumvent rules. Incompetence at all levels, clubs threatening legal action, broadcasters making stupid people famous, leading to evermore stupid people filming themselves doing even more stupid stuff in the hope of getting on the bandwagon, the whole “banter” stuff.

I’m out. There’s other stuff out there, more to life than football. It’s not the most important thing, and it’s no longer even the most important of the least important things in life.

The send off should be after we beat wolves at anfield. That's the appropriate thing to do in my view.
Totally agree. You don't parade a league cup. He deserves an almighty send off at Wolves but parades are for Leagues and Champions Leagues, not to say thank you to an individual, no matter how remarkable his influence has been. It would just be weird now IMO for the squad.

When the chips came down this new leadership group wilted, we missed Hendo and Milner so much, standards were allowed to drop after that Utd game and never brought back unless a kid stepped up with some energy.

Needs a serious rethink of the leadership group in the team, we had control of our own destiny and fucked it through basic lack of concentration and desire.

Agreed. From the manager down what we've seen since that first game at Old Trafford is just unacceptable. Sloppiness met with eye rolls rather than consequence

Looking at the remaining fixtures, still reckon we still go into last game level on points with City top of the league. No one is winning every game. Arsenal and City tough away games to come.

Summed up well. The bodies deserve for it to crash and burn to be honest
It's sad because I used to be so passionate and Klopp brought that back. But I'm coming to the conclusion it was just a breif moment

In the cold light of day we ran out of steam and are probably just that bit short of City and Arsenal.
You can’t win a title with a defence as leaky as ours. Some of the goals we’ve conceded have been shambolic. Arsenal rarely gift opponents goals, we’ve made a habit of it.

No - well before that…you don’t win leagues by keeping ZERO clean sheets.
Our last clean sheet in the league was game week 27 and before that was 21.
Awful.

Before then scoring bailed us out.  During and after that game we struggled to score.

I'm emotionally calm because after the draw to Manu and the loss to Palace I thought it was done. We look far more likely than Arsenal and City to drop points.

Is a very fair summation. We haven’t been playing like possible Champions of late. A season too early perhaps. Unlike others I don’t think we need wholesale changes, a few yes, but plenty of potential with a re-energised coaching team and this experience we’ll be back next season

Said pretty much all season that I think we need an injection of real top quality throughout the team. So another centrehalf, another full back, another midfielder and another attacker of real top, top quality.

Frankly I think we knew that. We knew the defence needed work but we had to focus on midfield this summer. We though the defence was good enough to get where we wanted.

We wanted top 4. In that sense the gamble is probably correct.

That's my thoughts on it. It feels small time and I know some will disagree but as much as Klopp deserves a big send off the squad as a whole should not get one. We need to have higher standards than that.

In saying that I loved the one after the attempted quad even though we didn't achieve it.

The midfield rebuild wasn't successful. We got one world class one which is great but that's it.

Tactically we've been absolutely shite at the start of games. That's a bad sign. We've had to adjust or rely on individual class to win matches which is credit to the management for seeing in game changes to win games and to the players for sticking to it and grinding out results. The tactical failures from kick off are very worrying though. What are they doing for pre game prep. It's actually a joke.

We're soft and average players can get the better of us by simply putting it on us.

I hope these data fellas have a shithouse metric.

Quite ironic that after he turned us into a side all the good sides feared to play in those first couple of years, we've turned into a team who can't win the big games anymore. Maybe Slot can bring some fearlessness back into them but there's a job on for Edwards and co. with some of these. Ruthlessness and precision required to turf some who won't be capable of winning us another title, while finding new players who will be.

I would question the full back part ( I don't think we NEED it. I think we need another good LB, but we have real quality in Trent)

We do need a quality CB and forward, and probably quality DM too although we may get away with simply a great one next to Macca providing genuine class

Seems very strange to me that the manager said it was Liverpool 2.0, but knew he was going to leave before the season started. You don't rebuild a squad in 1 season.

That's been the biggest problem way, way too often. If a team starts well by thundering the fuck into us, we'll go a goal down. Sometimes we've had enough pure quality to force our way back into the game. We're going to need 4 or 5 this summer.

Yep. Never give up until it's mathematically over. Let's try and take it to the last day and see what happens.
