We are the better side, but struggle to create chances. It's difficult when Arsenal drop deep, but we need to do better. It's almost as if Matip is the main threat and it should come from Jota, Minamino and Firmino. I think those three will need to break the pattern for us to score.

Would bite your hand off for Jota through scoring and them keeping 11 players on!
Never seen him playing I think. But looks like a good player.

Were just starting to build up a head of steam before the sending off. Seems to have thrown us off more than them so far. They’ve now got an 8 man defence which isn’t helping.
Hopefully we’ll work out how to get through it at half time.

No one’s been outstanding but Milner looks off the pace after playing well against Chelsea. Would t mind seeing Ox or Jones if we don’t make the breakthrough early

Can’t blame AFCON. This is what we do against packed defences. It’s where our limitations in midfield really show. All the attacks coming from the fullbacks and Matip. No threat in the middle. I’d like to see Curtis on for Milner.

Our corners are infuriating. On the rare occasion that we beat the first man, never seems to find a Liverpool head.

Bobby has been good. Those around him, not so much.

I don’t think I agree he needs hooking. His lack of technique is noticeable though.

Did you not see the pass for the red card? Far from the problem.

The drop off in quality without Mo and Sadio sticks out like a sore thumb. Origi would have done a good job in stretching these and holding up the ball but we could really do with better back ups. Need some attacking changes at half time. Arsenal fans have spent the entire half giving it to our players and fans, no songs about their own team, small minded idiots.

Any ideas why we are struggling so much to make chances at the moment?  We were scoring for fun up until the Wolves game but since we've struggled to create more than a couple of chances each game.

It would be good to put this to bed this evening but that's not looking likely at the moment.

Way too easy to defend against. No guile in midfield at all or pace, pedestrian frontline and set pieces absolutely shocking again.

Hopefully nick a goal from somewhere but it always needs to be the perfect goal at the moment to break the deadlock.

That midfield is horrible from a creative point.

I'd like to see Jones come on for Milner.

Hopefully, this isn't going to end up being 'one of those nights' when we huff and puff, but create hardly anything and the game finishes either 0-0 or 0-1 to Arsenal, despite having about 80% possession of the ball.

Got beaten by Callum Chambers at the end there minutes after he stopped even jogging after Saka had beaten him. Crap cross after crap cross and crap corner after crap corner before that.

Decent punt forward for the red card and the usual energy but I'll take some Tsimikas balls in please.

I’d take a Tsimi second half attacking masterclass too, please.

10 at the back is going to help them to some extent, especially with this midfield. I’d rather have had an open game.

Matip is our main attacking threat

Love those scything runs through the arsenal defence.

Entertaining game so far but we need to start landing some punches. I’m sure Klopp is telling them exactly what they’re doing wrong right now, in no uncertain terms. Confident we’ll be better in the second half.

Disjointed display, felt like we barely got going then the red card turned it into a rearguard action for Arsenal and since then they've handled us pretty comfortably. Matip looks our most creative attacking force which isn't exactly encouraging.

An aside, but well done to Rob Holding on the hair transplant, lovely stuff.

Well this had 3-1 or so all over it with Arsenal doing their usual ‘let’s not be scared amd go tow to toe like we are the invincibles’

Now I’ll take 1-0 off someones arse.

Controlling the game but our only chances have come from their mistakes, we’ve created sod all.  I love Milner but he’s struggling for us now, he’s still remarkably fit but he’s lost that bit of pace regarding decision making, gives the ball away as a consequence.  Really frustrating.

Matip is some sort of extra-terrestrial super Gazelle.  One day he’ll beat three men and lash it in the top corner.
