I'm suspecting might be more to do with the birth of his baby. Maybe some sort of covid precaution with a new born? I dunno because Alisson just had a baby too haha
Would sacrifice Fordy in a sacred Mayan ritual to have him as the next Liverpool manager

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Really hope he can have an injury free season next season and get a decent run of games under his belt.

If we got £20m for him and replaced his supposed £120k per week salary for a more readily available player I'd be up for that.

Or maybe next season he will actually start playing like a £120k player. As someone said above, having a baby on the way, could make him more motivated to start training harder and concentrate more to reach the top. He's a beast and unplayable when he's fully fit. I'm praying for that.

Congrats on the baby Ox, as a mate said to me last year when my missus was pregnant “welcome to the worlds shittest club”!!

I think that goal came at a great time for him and us. Apart from jota we don’t have much goal threat from the bench. I reckon bringing him on with half hour to go if we need a goal against palace will give the team a real boost which could end up being the difference.

He was a monster before the injury. Fingers crossed he has a good pre season and starts the campaign fit and fresh.

Everything that comes out of the club is that he's a really committed and hard-working pro so I don't think there's much room for more motivation.  He got that unspecified (as far as I know) knee injury during pre-season and was injured until Christmas so it was always going to be hard for him to get up to speed.  With all the focus on our defenders his four months out injured almost went under the radar which is a bit weird as he played over 40 times the season before.

His last few cameos from the bench have been really promising but I don't think any of them have come in midfield which is where he was excellent for us in 2017/18.  I don't know whether Klopp's move to a controlling midfield is permanent or just to offer more protection to the patched up defence - if it's permanent then I'd imagine Ox will be sold if a suitable bid comes in.

The decision on Ox to keep or sell is an enigma to me... He's in the same category as Matip - excellent players but made of glass.

We need to start moving players on who aren't offering enough, whether it be performances or time on the pitch.

We can't move 10 or 11 players on though at once. If Origi/Shaq/Minamino/Keita/Wijnaldum all left in the summer then Ox may stay and move further up the order. His season was ruined by an injury before it started. If he can get a good pre-season behind him, and he'll have a summer break, then he could be a good option next year.
