Kolo Toure has responded well to treatment, and the loveable centre back has yet to concede defeat in his battle to play on Sunday. (Echo).

Fingers crossed.  Regardless of whether he's fit or not, it's highlighted a huge hole in our squad.

Posters on here going to Melwood and hearing first hand that Kolo reckons he's fit for Sunday, and the Echo now backing this up.

Might just be that it wasn't as bad as initially feared.

That really is brilliant news. Even if he misses United but is back for Swansea that's a huge boost.

The cult hero grows even bigger in stature, nothing can keep this man down!
Let us never forget Rafael Benitez and what he did for us. A fighter full of guts and passion. A gentleman full of class and dignity. A football manager full of intelligence and pure genius. A Legend.
Adios Rafa, buena suerte.

He's only played 3 first team games for us, and already he has shown to be almost indispensable to the team.

Hope he's fit to play against the Mancs.

Even if he misses Sunday, I'll be happy as long as it's not actually a serious injury like we all feared.

Although I also hope that won't have any bearing at all on how hard we go in for a new quality centre half before the chance is lost - surey we've learned our lesson from this Kolo scare?

Apparently he could be fit for the weekend. I would love him to play but not if we are rushing him back.

Do not want us to make the injury worse.

Rodgers pretty much confirmed what has already been said.  He's recovered well from the injury and club will assess over the next 24/48 hours to see about Sunday.

Same for Joe Allen.

I'm not sure I'd risk him with the international break coming up, especially if another CB besides Ilori isn't coming in.

Hope he's back for United. Love him already. Not only is he a fantastic defender, he's a massive threat on set pieces. Agger somehow becomes even more of threat when Toure's in the box with him.
