Awake and alert is the latest news.
If your moral compass is Piers Moron then I ask you to think whether someone who oversaw illegal phone hacking and published fake pictures depicting War Crimes is an appropriate person to look up to. In fact, I'd suggest you're a bit of a c*nt.

Awful crash, but glad to see him moving in the car right after the accident, hope he's okay...

Quite amazing how quick the medical team were there to help him out.

https://twitter.com/IndyCar/status/866083196940595200

Multiple fractures to his pelvis and a fracture to his hip, could've been a lot worse...

Very respectable 5th place for Alonso on his first Indy 500  8)
One better than Man U would have managed  ;)

Vettel looking extremely good in 2nd practice  8)

As a diehard Ferrari fan I'm very optimistic for this weekend for once. Ferrari clearly have more peak downforce as well as a shorter wheelbase and also are very well suited to the ultra soft tyres. Here's hoping for a clean pole on Saturday and running away on Sunday for Vettel.

Mercedes really struggled in the afternoon, so dream scenario is that they'd fall behind Red Bull and Kimi on a one-lapper and therefore Hamilton struggling to get a podium.

I'm about as sick of that team as I am of Man United  :butt

Toro Rosso did very well in FP2 as well, and good to see a Red Bull up there as well. Making for an interesting race weekend.

I know it's still early but looks like Stroll has made the jump to F1 too soon in my opionion. Having Daddy's cheque book will always open those doors though.

Yes Stroll looks like a disaster. He'll probably be in Formula 2 next season. At this rate with all those crashed cars I'm sure they're not even making that much of a profit on him. Given they've got Mercedes engines I'm expecting Wehrlein in one of their cars next season, the question is though whether they can convince Massa to do another year given that Button's not interested and only possibly coming back if McLaren offer him a drive and Williams need an experienced hand. I wouldn't rule out Grosjean to Williams though, he always seems in a bad mood at Haas but is too good not be a Formula One driver, also Leclerc needs a seat to become a Ferrari driver in the future, so perhaps that'd suit all parties?

Stroll looks really weird behind the wheel. He tends to rattle all over the cockpit, doesn't seem in control.

Grosjean signed a 3 year deal with Haas afaik when the team set up. this is year two.

Stroll looks out of his depth so far, maybe he well get better as the year went on. It was an unusual place to crash though i think Verstappen crashed there last year.

Toro Rosso look quite promising this weekend. Ferrari and Vettel looking good

Pulling for Bottas, mainly as I can't stand Ferrari (for the most part, I've welcomed them being competitive but not enough for them to win) and I'm just meh with Lewis.

I'm more a back-marker supporter though, was gutted when Manor went to the wall.

Just wanna say Perez is having a great season, out performed the much respected Nico Hulkenberg (who's touted as a potential world champ) and bossing it this year again, so impressed by him.

surprised he doesnt get talked up more for the bigger teams to be honest

Oh yeah, that famous f1 driver Anthony Joshua.

Seriously you need to stop, it's getting creepy. Just because i prefer someone else to you and in turn wanna see that opponent suffer as it benefits who I like doesn't count as unhealthy hatred.

Your obsession of labelling everyone who does though, is quite unhealthy.

Your quite welcome to pick out my unhealthy hatred, I presume it's littered all over the boxing and F1 threads, so I'll leave you to report back and find hatred in my words.

Mercedes called that strategy perfectly.
Pitting when it meant Ferrari couldn't respond.
That was gutsy. Not Hamilton whinging after he'd been out muscled on the 1st corner.

Why are Mercedes so slow?  FP1 was fine, then it all went pear shaped..

Very odd..
