Remember when he was the head off Art Attack?

Dyche will likely see them safe again over a season because the standard in that bottom half is going to be shocking this year.

Think Dyche will make them more difficult to score against but they've still got fuck all goals in the team themselves.

They'll be there or thereabouts. Praying that this is finally the season.

I am far from convinced that Dyche will keep them up. Everton are at the point where they are almost solely relying on three other teams being worse than they are. I said earlier that I don't think their odds of going down are any better or worse than last season, but their team is noticeably weaker than  it was 12 months ago.

Pickford has found himself stranded at Everton. He's been priced out of a move without being priced out of a move; clubs didn't even bother enquiring because they knew Everton would slap a silly money price tag on him. And Everton's defence is even worse than ours. :P

Dyche's allure is somewhat tarnished after Burnley's last PL campaign, and although he may try and recreate peak Burnley at Woodison, two things will militate against it: firstly the fact that if once the crown slips it never sits right again, for the wearer if no one else.

And secondly that the feral fanbase at the woodshed will not accept his brand of football with anything approaching good grace. They will think it beneath them and that will create a gulf between team and terrace within which their PL safety may founder.

And also Everton are shite

Dyche will likely see them safe again over a season because the standard in that bottom half is going to be shocking this year.

Sadly this is how I see it too. I've only started paying attention to that end of the table over the past 2 seasons, simply because of Everton's involvement. Ordinarily I wouldn't give 2 shites what happens down there. It's only now I've come to fully realise just how dire the standard is at that end of the food chain. It's truly fucking abysmal!

I'm certainly no fan of Dyche, or his brand of football. To me he's just another pub side manager stealing a living from the managerial merry-go-round. But as bad as he is, he's not in Lampards league of incompetency. Over 38 games, I'd expect him to keep them up. Lampard was our only hope. Sadly that chance has passed now. They'll be ok :(

Good for them, apart from some dickheads there are some very special things about Everton football club

It’s a testament to our Great city that whilst we are football rivals we are scousers first and foremost. It’s not a friendly derby anymore because we are too far apart in our achievements, and Pickford made me want them to fall off the end of the earth for a bit, but it’s City first for the vast majority of us.

I was watching Ricky Tomlinsons “Who do you think you are” and it explained that despite our similar demographic to Glasgow Sectarianism didn’t get a stranglehold in Liverpool because both sides were united by the union cause and knew who the real enemy was.

Solidarity is what makes this city so special and for the large part football doesn’t stop that, we understand where the line needs to be drawn, and when.
