I do love bits like this, though.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/KJCfUm21BsI" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/KJCfUm21BsI</a>

In fact, that's the essence of Family Guy. There's never a coherent theme, they don't really care about narrative, but it's very funny to watch in 90 second bursts on hulu.

I just unwittingly marketed hulu. I feel dirty.

Family Guy definitely has it's moments but as Garstonite mentioned that whole
flashback thing as the premise of the show gets tiring and well
predictable. That said, Stewie has some brilliant lines.

The South Park pisstake of Family Guy was great imo.

Also have more respect for the South Park writers for targeting
charlie uniforms like Jon Edward, OJ,George Bush,Paris Hilton, Nambla
etc etc etc.

Well Family Guy can be a bit hit and miss and sometimes takes the easy option far too often but i gotta disagree about South Park, South Park has all the subtlety of a hammer blow to the face, targeting Bush, Hilton etc isn't exactly cutting edge, more like shooting fish in a barrel, i find South Park more than a little childish and obvious period. Family Guy has definitely peaked though, still amazed how some can draw a line between FG and American Dad though as they are both very very similar indeed.

Gotta agree, i fucking hate Star Wars and everything to do with it anyway, so to see a supposedly cutting edge animation make a lazy Star Wars 'homage' was very disappointing.

American Dad as a concept is brilliant, but the actual content is nowhere near as funny as it should be. I don't know why, but I just don't find the characters as developed as those on Family Guy, and the comedy suffers as a result.

I've never enjoyed Family Guy as much since the South Park pisstake. Whether that's down to the declining quality of Family Guy, or because of South Park's brilliant satire I'm not sure.

I like Family Guy. I like South Park. What I don't like is those people who see Themselves as some kind of 'cartoon snob' hailing South Park as some kind of high brow and that you're a person that I find irritating if you laugh at Family Guy

Gotta say i do love the "road to" episodes or anything with plenty of Stewie-Brian like "saving private brian", a great combination. Similarly i like the Roger-Steve combination of American Dad, "Wheels and the Leg man"

I've found American dad a lot more funnier than family guy this season. Always thought AD was shite but maybe they are concentrating more on AD this time round?

Family Guy is brilliant, in periods, nowadays.

The show was always about scenes...not about well thought out episode plot.

It always struck me as a show for the writers more than the audience. Most of the jokes are like things you would be talking about with your mates where it goes to a ridiculous extremes through exaggerations, but when you tell a mate who wasn't there the end product its "I guess you had to be there".

Yeah I know which one it is, and it's anything but a "return to form", it was fucking awful.

Compare that to anything from seasons 3 or 4 and then come back and tell me it's a return to form.
