So because Henderson said it he must be right... No one is doubting his ability, it's other factors.

And you're obviously not very good at comprehension because that's what Hendo is exactly talking about.  :D

I think this is the crux of it to be honest, this guy knows his shit.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Think he's best as an impact sub now if I'm honest but surprised he isnt starting tonight. He'll start one of the next two though so not long to wait for his chance.

He just KNEW shawcross was gonna do a backpass..knew EXACTLY where the pass was gonna come from.

A goal or assist every 87 minutes for LFC this season.

Ridiculous how easy he makes that goal look minutes after coming on

Very very well taken goal. Very good once he came on though the game itself was petering out.

For various reasons I think it is time for Danny to step up.

I believe in him, I never lost faith. He's got the skills and hopefully getting a bit of a run at Everton, shows his fitness is on the up.

Best case scenario is he shows all his doubters wrong.  :) can't wait for the next match, missed the last few, and I am admittedly a bit of a fanboy for Sturridge, but only because I've seen what he can do.

;D I love that this boy comes back, and even if he has been out with his interminable injuries, looks like he hasn't lost a step

I remember defending you after you were attacked from all sides for your post before the Bournemouth game. I now realise that you're actually just a broken clock that is right twice a day - post enough negative drivel and you're bound to be right occasionally.

Sturridge is boss and we'd be mad to let him go.

Hope that starts a run of a long streak of goals from him. He's been due a few already.

We need him to keep firing as Mane would soon be leaving for AFCON.

Origi must have been bemused, works his ass off, tires the defenders out, no one passes to him when he's in great position to score...Daniel comes on and slots away a back pass cool as you like.

This lad is too good to be our "super sub" but what an impact he has off the bench.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

I'm not doubting his ability though? He's technically one of England's best players. Can't have a bit of constructive criticism though hey?

Anyway, great goal and again looked good off the bench against tired legs. Wonder if that'll be his role for most of the season.

Here's a question:

Why is now, of all times, a time to post something negative about Sturridge?

He's done good today  :)

Goal aside - we know he is a fantastic scorer - he was actually all over the pitch. Several times defending on the wing or even deep in our half. It looks like Klopp's message may be finally getting across to him.

I'd suggest you relax mate. Firstly, it was a joke'ish off hand remark to the poster who was suggesting they believed it was time for 'Daniel to stand up'. We all know his injury record, and many a poster have made comments of similar ilk.

Secondly, you imply a hell of alot. Firstly you imply i don't support Daniel, and secondly i am against everything the club stands for all because i told a poster not to pin their hopes on a injury prone player? Bit of a stretch with your implications perhaps.

Thirdly, where was this 'unequovical' support from the players you have damned in the history of your postings? Eg, a quick simple search indicates you were pretty damning of Voronin. Sure he was garbage, but where was this 'fanbase support' you speak so highly of then? Some might call that you being a little bit hypocritical.

Whenever Daniel steps on the pitch he has my support. He still is a fantastic talent. Blighted by a terrible injury record.

I'm not going to disect, re-buff, kick-off, whatever - just give the lad time. Lets be honest here, we should hope he proves every single one us wrong.....Are we all kopite-enough to admit that?

This is not the first time our Daniel has anticipated a backpass, sloppy or not, and taken advantage by scoring. Anticipating, positioning, getting to the ball first and putting it passed the keeper into the net. This is a skill, and our Daniel is excellent at it.
