Demo mate.

The xG Philosophy@xGPhilosophy
HT: Liverpool (2.38) 2-0 (0.04)
To be fair didn't we have good xGs as well during that abysmal run? It was the defence giving away silly goals and the wayward finishes that killed us. Having an early goal + Tottenham being toothless in attack really helped.

Dominant. Once the pressure’s off we remember how to play football again. Spurs have been pretty underwhelming, which helps I guess.

This is nothing different than what we have been seeing. We have scored from a keeper mistake and a rebound. This is the same thing we have been seeing for weeks. Spurs are not a defensive minded team. Put Everton back out there, and there is zero chance we have a goal.

So much nicer when
A. The opponents don’t look arsed.

B. We actually score our big chances

Nice to be enjoying a game again. Nothing at stake, just some good football to enjoy in the sunshine. What life is all about... right?

Anyway you could take a chill pill? For the first time in weeks we have managed two goals, that in itself is progress.

Gakpo proving a conundrum at the end of a season. He’s showing we still miss Firmino or that kind of player.

Good first half. We're still a little off it, as we could easily be 4 up but its encouraging after the last month.

Gakpo has been good on the ball, just needs a little more to really influence things. That assist should help him as the goal will help Mo.

Lovely bit of goal poaching from Robbo.

A clean sheet would be nice.

After all the missed chances lately, to see Robbo net with the foot he uses to stand on is a treat. We looked better and better as the half progressed.

In that first 15 minutes Spuds were awarded two free kicks because someone fell over despite not being fouled; it’s way beyond a joke. We’re still porous when the press is played through - recovery pace will remain a problem in all truth, until we fix it.

What? This is the first time we've had more than 4 days between matches since early February - back to back wins against Brentford and Burnley.

Delighted for Robbo who has been our best player over the past month. Tireless runner.

Mac's pass to Trent in the build up to the second goal. Sublime

Gakpo is the biggest plus of the day. Looks at it.

Today we are seeing more of TAA attacking from the flanks, rather than moving into the midfield and making Hollywood passes. That's why we have been much more threat offensively

Fucking finally. If we were a bit more clinical, we could have been up 4-0. I think the front line needs refreshing in the summer either way.

I mean, committed to the challenge, nowhere near the ball, plants his foot on Gakpo's foot. What can possibly be the excuse to not give it??
