If anything Wolves will be a tricky opposition. They don't play like many other teams in the league so they should give City something to think about. I still expect them to lose unfortunately.

However the circumstances have contrived to arrive at the games falling in the order they have, it has provided the maximum potential amount of drama for the weekend to end on, having this tonight. The psychological element of the game is favouring Wolves.

Sadly, the talent element of the game is favouring City massively  :D

Wolves have had some good results for sure. They've also been beaten by the likes of Huddersfield and Cardiff. They aren't all that. But yes I know, neither are Palace.

Wolves 0-9 City
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Can't see Wolves doing much but you never know, probably the only game in their next 4 where there's a tiny bit of hope of them dropping points. After this, Huddersfield and Newcastle are absolutely pathetic and Arsenal may score a goal or two v them on a great day but City could put 5 or 6 past them if they needed too.

Worth remembering how difficult Huddersfield made it for us at their place, Newcastle away is no gimmie either. I know people will trot out the usual that they’re likely to win both comfortably, which is of course the likely outcome, but it’s not totally beyond the realms.

Never thought I'd see the day when another footballers name rhymes with Clive Mendonca.

I made a terrible joke about it once, sounded like the commentator was trying to pronounce his name but had a bad cold. No one laughed.

Only found out the other day that Mendonca, only famous for his Play Off Final hat trick against Sunderland is a big Mackey himself.

I know Traore isn't rated much but I'd have played him in this one. That side is so lacking in pace, it's tough to see how they get up the pitch when they're playing against defenders with great recovery pace and their fastest guy is Raul Jimenez...

If Wolves are to do anything they have to score at least twice. They aren't keeping Man City at arms length with Boly in defence, he's one of the worst ever witnessed at this level.

I’d say he’d sneak into Swindon Town’s defence from 93/94 or maybe Derby’s from 07/08.
