If you’re that anti-English (and you’re not alone) then it might be worth just logging off RAWK when England might win something, because you’re massively embarrassing yourself here.

Or just leave the thread in general. There is a Liverpool game on….

We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Proper team proper coach

I’d be asking William right there to get that sword out and start making some Dames

If Kane can get an MBE or whatever he's got for scoring a few penalties and then disappearing for the other matches, that's the least these women deserve!

The quality was lacking today but the result was achieved regardless. Well done to them all!!

I’ve been on a bit of a journey this year with women’s football.

At the start of the year I openly said to friends, I was sick of all the hype, why all of a sudden is it being shown on every station, the games quality just isn’t as good as the mens.

Then this tournament came along, and I read online about how the FA banned women from competing on “mens” grounds after the war. Sending the women’s game into the abyss just as it was taking off. The mens game was well placed to go into the stratosphere as TV came along and women’s football missed out, taking the best part of a century to catch up.

This is a long overdue coronation of the game. I’ll gladly admit I was wrong before and I’ve found my new favourite sport all over again.

You're still the one pool where I'd happily drown

Not a massive fan of the Engerlund football team, but made up for those girls - what a brilliant achievement and as was said - they are there despite the system, not because of it.

Great achievement and probably something the country as a whole can get behind.

Some miserable fuckers on here. :D

The men’s team are hard to like because we know half the players are dicks and the fans that follow them likewise. These girls have had to work their way up, nothings come easy, probably aren’t primadonas and the crowd are more families and not coked up wankers.

Well done to them all. That was great. Really couldn’t see England scoring til they did.

Yep, I don't support the men's team but it's pretty difficult to not want the women to win. They have faced the type of adversity that their male counterparts couldn't even imagine and they seem like decent, humble people who will inspire a generation of young girls.

Watching them celebrate in front of 90,000 fans is surreal. It never even crossed my mind that that could be possible for a woman in this country. For me, that beats any ill will I have toward the English establishment.
