Seemed to tick all the boxes on that small first interview.  Happy he's managed to keep his number 10 shirt!

Great to get a deal done before everyone else.  Let's hope it's the first of many.

Very pleased with this. I liked his attitude and work rate and for him to sign for us when we haven't got 'Champions' League football is a really positive sign.

If he was a mercenary just after the cash, he could have signed for United, who, it appears were after him as well.

Welcome to our club matey :)

The right kind of player. Good head on him, (should be playing for the Republic !). Oft said on podcasts I listen to that he makes other players around him better. I like that. Excellent work.

Who else have we had? Hunt, Cohen, Torres, Reina, Riedle?

And who could ever forget the great Bernard Diomede?

Edit: Callaghan and Gerry Byrne too.

Roger Hunt is the only player to play on the winning side in a World Cup final whilst on Liverpool’s books. All our other World Cup winners either didn’t play in the final or weren’t on our books yet. We’ve also had four others play in finals a lose whilst on our books.

Agreed. Caicedo is over £70m for example
Absolutely, I think they get over 80m for him.
The big bonus for us is getting our #1 target for 35m leaves us with more money for other targets, I wouldn't mind Caicedo aswell though🤞🤣🤣

A talented player with a seemingly very good attitude.

A good first step hopefully we can bring in players to compliment him and strengthen our obvious areas of weakness.

Really excited by this signing. I think it's going to prove a shrewd purchase. A lot of rivals are going to be gutted we've signed him. Really looking forward to seeing him knit our midfield and forward line together.

Hopefully this Mac Allister can bag in a European final like his predecessor Gary.

Great signing overall. Great value, and he will transform the midfield. His main game is creating and being on the ball, but his recovery and off the ball work should not go unnoticed. He routinely has games with 5 or more ball recoveries. Great job by the scouting department and the board getting the player done and ready for the start of pre season.

Things im excited to see with this lad.

Squad Integration: Being Argentinian he will gel well with the rest of the south american contingency (Diaz, Nunez, Fabinho, Thiago, Pitulaga).

Midfield Control and Creation - Last year most of our chances were made from Trent or our forwards. Having a player thats capable of being on the ball and creating chances will transform the team. Theres less pressure on the forwards to drop back and create, and in turn it will benefit our ball possession. We saw it a little bit this year, and i think Klopp will go full on possession based football next season, as opposed to pressing for 90 minutes and making the opponent create a mistake. I think last year even though our pressing was inconsistent and sluggish, teams were able to spot the press and play two quick passes before a long ball breaks our defense. Klopp will see the schedule of games and know that he needs to change tactics. (Cant score without the ball)

We hit the nail on the head with this signing. Great start to a very important window.
Seen us win everything

He's going to fit right on. Glad to be starting the summer break with some positive news!
