to be honest, I don't rate them very highly as iPods. I guess that depends what you listen to/watch, but the controls are shite compared to a real iPod (e.g. it's really hard to skip forward/back just a few seconds) and you often can't read the titles of the tracks.

There are some great games for it, and it's a brilliant handheld computer.

Done that myself and took it in to an Apple shop and after telling them I didn't know what's happened they exchanged it for a brand new one in a matter of four days, excellent customer service.  I never had the receipt and it was in a different country from the one it was originally purchased in.

PangeaVR.

You can download and view 360degree panoramic photos taken all over the world which you can scroll through with your finger.

Hard to describe but truly breathtaking. For free you can't complain.

I think PangeaVR stuff has to be made specifically for it, whereas the MS shimmy-tang built its panoramas automagically.

I don't have an iphone (yet) but I when I do get one, I'd love to have a travel planner like the one on tfl.gov.uk which tells me when the next overground/underground/bus is. I've seen a few where you can plan what stations to change at, but a live app like that would be mighty useful.

Alternatively you could just go to tfl.gov.uk. Sorry, the concept of having actual internet on your phone is lost on me.

TV Guide - what it says
ITap - turns your iphone into a scroll pad for Mac and PC....really good!
IClockRadio - what it says
FieldRunners - fun game

Right had this sexy little phone for about six weeks and I'd say I've got it just as I want it, ipod sorted with EVERY song with pic, jailbroken and Appulous/Installer installed.................So have got access to ALL apps for free* so here is what I have and what is MUST HAVE.

biteSMS         - Able to forward messages to other phones...(Available on Cydia)

Winterboard  - Ability to change backgrounds and full themes on phone

BossPrefs      - Ability to hide icons you dont use like Stocks for example, amongst a variety of other things.

Flashlight       - The one of Cydia, not the Appstore....Its much much brighter as Apple limit the brightness developers can go
to.

MxTube          - Save and store Youtube vids for offline viewing

Drunktionary  - Loads of drink recipes for just about Everything and some outlandish games..(Available on Cydia)

Stanza            - Books

Movies             - Get up to date info/trailers and cinema listings near by.

Toodledoo       - Make notes etc and schedule them in priority etc

Appshare        - As it says..sharing of apps (for free) but looks exactly like proper Appstore!

Installous        - Needed to install above Apps

eBay

Poker Timer      - Keep track of blind times etc;

Worldwiki         - Info all world countries...GDP,Population,land mass and much more

iFooty               - Provides newstories for All teams

My Football       - Much more in-depth than the above, but doesnt provide news, so work well together.

iFitness             - Loads of different exercises for gym..good explanations too.

Remote             - Control iTunes from your iPhone..Absolutely flawless.

Wunderradio     - Outstanding. How they do it I dont know. All (well not all! but a lot trust me) radio stations available on yer iphone through 3g. WOW!

Onbox.tv           - Tv Guide

Crash Kart         - Crash Bandicoot (not even played it. Ha!)

Aurora Feint     - Excellent addictive tetris type of game. Sort of.

Bejeweled 2      - Timeless classic updated for iphone. Decent but got better games.

Labyrinth          - Excellent, too addictive. Just shows off what the iPhone can do. Spot on physics.

Enigmo             - Hard to explain, but excellent game again and very hard yet addictive.

Brainchallenge  - Just like the Ds game.

wurdle               - Love this game, like a crossword with a slight twiest to how you can spell words. Love it.

Shazam             - Get tune id's by playing into the mic.

Cameraman      - A spot the difference game using the ESPN sport archive.

Texas Hold 'em - The one with the black and gold spade as icon.

Photoswap       - Simple, send a photo, get a photo.

Airmouse  - Use phone as mouse and keyboard..Airmouse or touchpad

Out of these (they're all good otherwise they wouldn't be on the phone) the must have are:

wurdle
Enigmo
Labyrinth
Aurora Feint
WunderRadio - Absolutely
iFooty
My Football
WorldWiki
Drunktionary
biteSMS
Winterboard
Remote - Works so well, and great when you got people over. Big up to Apple for this App..Free too!
There are a few games at the top there, not much of a game player to be honest, but IMO these games really do what is needed.....Sap away time without you realising how much, great for arduous journeys or wasting time at work.

*Spare me the lecture on stealing stuff..I paid £400 cash for my phone, I think I have spent enough to decide how I use and manipulate the product I bough and if that includes installing programs to 'test' Apps before I buy them (Snigger!) then so be it. I'm not changing the system I bought, rather just using it!!

Hopefully, I get my new one tomorrow! I've been lost without the fucker.

Not exactly withdrawal symptoms, but I have not known the sensation of boredom since I got the thing, till it was gone last week. Also, the thought of taking a long trip via public transport without it is frightening.

Buy a Mac. iPhone will never let you be happy on Windows.

And also if i'm browsing a site on the iphone and for example i like a picture i see, can i save it? If so, how?
Just press on the picture for a bit.

Thanks for you help Walshy!

I haven't registered my iphone yet but when i'm filling in the form a part comes where it asks for my credit card details, how much is the registration fee? Is it a one off payment or a monthly one?
