The days crawl by, and Liverpool fans with hope in their hearts are left crawling up the walls, a bit like depressed ice age sloths on a dope and downers binge. That's how it feels for me anyway. :wave

Something to pass the time:

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds
Being from across the pond, we had in the late 70's a one hour condensed version of a (then) first division match from England.  Back then Liverpool was on a lot as you can imagine.  Everytime Heighway had the ball the commentator would say "Stevie Heighway.... such skills"....)

2. Your first game at Anfield

LFC - Man City in November of 2011.  1-1 draw

3. Your first away game

Friendly against Spurs in Baltimore (if you can call that an away game)

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

The Champions League Semi-final against Chelsea at Anfield.  Loved watching John Terry cry.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

Xabi Alonso.  Class personified and he left too soon.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Despite all his faults, Suarez.  A game changer at any time.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

If we're still in a battle for top of the league, I don't give us (or neither do I care) a chance about the FA Cup.  Probably another soon to be relegated club like Wigan last year will win it.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week
Tricky one, this.   Heart says 2-1 to the Reds; Head says 2-2 draw.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds
I was obviously a fan before it, but one of the first things I remember is finding the 88/89 kit hidden behind our sofa approaching Christmas in 1988. Loved that shirt.
I remember being in my uncles house in Antrim watching Hillsborough unfold. Didn't grasp how serious it was being only 7 years old but knew there was massive problems.
My earliest 'match' memory is, unfortunately, Arsenal at Anfield in 89. Pretty sure that was televised.

2. Your first game at Anfield
v Middlesborough in January 1998. Coca Cola cup semi. Merson gave them the lead, Redknapp scored a belter at the Annie Road end before HT. Fowler got the winner in the 2nd half.
The Boro players stayed at the Thistle Haydock, as did we. Got my picture taken with Bryan Robson, Merson, and Mikkel Beck. He was a fucking giant compared to me.

3. Your first away game
Only been to an away friendly. Linfield in Belfast in 1994. Ian Rush scored the only goal.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)
Either the first 4-3 v Newcastle, the 4-1 v the Mancs, the 5-0 v Villa the week after, the 4-0 v Madrid, the Dirk Hat trick v Mancs, or the Big Cup semi in 2005. Really hard to choose between those for me,

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)
Xabi Alonso. Everything I ever wanted to be as a footballer. Absolutely love watching him play.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)
Coutinho. The lad is a boss

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League
Cup winners. 5th in the league. Really cant see us picking up many points in the second half of December.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week
1-1. The wheels are sure to fall off our wagon sometime. Really hope not though.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds
When I was 5 or 6 (or 9 or 10, my sense of time is terrible) - my brother, who got me interested in Liverpool in the first place, talking about how we'd sold all our best players.  I didn't even know who he was talking about at the time.

2. Your first game at Anfield
Opening game of the 11-12 season against Sunderland, with Downing hitting the bar and Suarez missing a penalty that went over my head.  Was a prelude to the rest of the season as it turned out.

3. Your first away game
Arsenal 11-12 season.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)
Exeter away in the league cup (probably noticing a pattern here)

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)
Oooh Sami Sami! Sami Sami Sami Sami Hyypia!  (or the King, although i've only ever watched replays of him playing)

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)
Lucas, Johnson or Jones - great attitudes

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League
Probably out in the later rounds in the FA Cup, and top four :)

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week
4-1 LFC

1. Danny Murphy passing to Michael Owen who then scored. Couldn't tell you who it was against or what year it was. Might have been Coventry we were playing against.

2. Never been to Anfield. Hopefully one day I can.

3. I don't think Melbourne on an exhibition game counts. Besides the reds were at home for that one ;)

4. I'll go Juve at home in 2005. Mostly because although we had performed some heroics just to get to where we were then, Juventus were one of the true powerhouses of Europe and most of the media kept running stories about how Liverpool's run had been great thus far but it was going to end now that we were playing Juventus. It was their way of saying, well, shit is about to hit to fan.

I remember a defiant Rafa coming out and saying that we'll take the game to Juventus and that with Anfield behind us, we could rely on their support. And how it was that game. The atmosphere, THAT flag, 'Make us dream' it said and I felt like it was everything I wanted to say. Not that I wanted to add any pressure on our boys to win but just make us dream and it felt like that flag said everything I wanted to say in 3 words.

The start with Finnan putting a really hard tackle on someone and shooting into the side netting. The commentator went 'No such thing as a lost cause for Liverpool tonight' and I felt that. Just typing this out has me choking with emotion. It was a fantastic fantastic feeling. I cannot put it into words. That night, the Reds made me dream.

5. Don't think I have a favourite player of all time. I think Ronaldinho was the one I liked watching the most play but think that's about it.

6. Again, a tough one because I don't really have a favourite player as such but I'll go Daniel Agger.

7. We'll win them both. Come on you Reds !

8. 3-0 to the mighty Redmen. I feel a clean sheet a comin !
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds. Uefa cup final 73.

2. Your first game at Anfield. Arsenal, I think it was Ray Kennedy's first game for us?

3. Your first away game. Apart from loads of mid 70s Derbies and Wembley in 77  it was Maine Road or Villa Park - early 80s

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one) forest 5-0
And away Inter at the San Siro

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him) Johnny Barnes.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either) Toure

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League,  league 5th, fa cup semi final

1 First memory was a scrapbook that one of my dads mates at work had compiled. He brought it home and gave it to me. I remember being fascinated by the murky black and white newspaper clippings.

2 First game at Anfield was September 1959. 2-0 win v Doncaster

3 First away game was Burnley, not sure when, early 60's I would think

4 Favourite game of all time is the 1974 semi final replay against Leicester at Villa Park. It was the last game I went to with my dad before he died

5 Favourite player of all time would have to be Emlyn Hughes

6 Favourite current player is Agger

7 F A Cup - No reason we cant win it with the right draws. League - 5th

8 Newcastle game 1-1

Definitely was on TV - that's mine as well.

Slightly off topic, but I remember thinking during the first 4-3 with Newcastle that Batty should have been sent off for a blatant rugby tackle (can't remember who on) but the ref let him off 'cos they were 3-0 down. Did we miss out on euro football that season due to a goal difference of just 1 goal? Anyone know?

1. First memory of the Reds.
I can remember going to Anfield every summer to get the new kit, gazing up at the boards at the back to see who's name I wanted printed onto it. I used to get the squad picture of that player and I wouldn't sleep unless the picture was above my bed ;D I remember Jason McAteer being a favourite at one point after meeting him at my dad's work. Looking back at it now, I had the likes of McManaman, Fowler, Barnes and Redknapp to choose from, but went for McAteer.
2. First time at Anfield -
It was on New Years day vs Nottingham Forest in the 95/96 season when we went 2-0 down and came back to win 4-2. Sat in the Anfield Rd end.
3. First Away game -
Utd away in the CoC last month. Regardless of the result, it was a fantastic experience to be in the travelling kop.
4. Favourite game of all time -
That's a difficult one. I'd say its between the 2001 FA cup final or 2005 CL semi.   Favourite game Ive been to was the 2-1 fa cup against the mancs in 2011, just because we won it in the last minute and I was sat right next to the Annie Rd so could celebrate in front of 6,000 of them.
5. Favourite Liverpool player - Gerrard     Favourite non-Liverpool player - Brazilian Ronaldo.
6. Favourite current squad player is Coutinho.
7. I fancy us to knick into the top 4 and at least semi-final of the FA cup.
8. I'm gonna go for a 0-2 win for us. SAS with the goals.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

Partik Berger scoring a penalty in a game that finished 2-2 against Blackburn Rovers. Don't remember what year but sometime in the 90's.

2. Your first game at Anfield

Liverpool 3-0 Sunderland. The game where Torres scored the screamer from the edge of the box. Kop started signing 'head like beach ball' to Steve Bruce towards the end of the game

3. Your first away game

At Old Trafford the week before the Sunderland game. Liverpool lost 2-1, Torres scored for us, Mascherano gave away a penalty and that Korean chap scored the winner. Was sitting with the United fans.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

Think it was the UEFA Cup final against Alaves. WAs a small kid at the time and my first real experience of watching Liverpool in European competition.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

I really loved the way Xabi Alonso used to pass the ball. Yeah him.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Probably Lucas, i have a thing for center midfield players.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

FA Cup semi final, 4th in the League.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week

1-0 Liverpool

1. Very early memory mistaking Aberdeen on TV for Liverpool. But my sister was born on the day we won the European Cup in Rome in 84. House full of people round at ours that night. I was 5. Double celebration. Her name? Victoria… !

2. There's a pic of me outside the Kemlyn Rd stand, I must have been about 3…1982… way to young to remember. My father went about indoctrinating me with an almost religious zeal, in hindsight. He took my mum on the Kop when she was 8 and a 1/2  months pregnant… she passed out and had to be carried over the heads to the st johns ambulance… so that was almost my first game, heh.

3. I'm struggling with this one, as I think I'd only been to away friendlies (Rangers, Partick etc.,) having never been a season ticket holder. I went to Celtic, the European game, in 1996… a cast iron classic with McManaman's late late goal. However, I was technically in the 'home' end… so I almost feel like last seasons game against Hearts was my first 'official' away game, if you like.

4. I think the only thing that comes close to *that* game for emotion was the '89 Cup Final. Can't say I remember too much about it. Chelsea 05 was pretty amazing, even though we couldn't get in we were in the pub and the whole of the area around Anfield went wild that night.

5. Stupid question, I can't even agree on a favourite XI. Dalglish I still hold in awe though.

6. Really difficult one given the amount of recent changes at the club. I'll plump for either of the Daniels.

7. FA Cup quarter finals, League 3rd.

8. We want 6.

1. My old man calling me in from the street to watch the Reds parade the league championship around Anfield after a 0-0 draw with leicester in 1973. Have to say I didn't really appreciate the importance of what I was watching but that soon changed.

2. A night match at Anfield a couple of weeks before the 1974 Cup final. We beat Man City 4-0, all the goals were scored in the Anny Rd end in the first half and I didn't see any of them because I was too small even though my old man tried to lift me up when we were attacking.
George played 'Seasons In The Sun' by Terry Jacks and 'Baby Love' by the Supremes at half-time, I'll take that memory to the grave. Also I remember the fans being mixed and some City fans hoping we scored another at the Kop end because they didn't want a goal-less 2nd half. Imagine that now.

3. Everton 1 Liverpool 2. March 1980. Think it was the game Dixie Dean died at.

4. Gotta be Liverpool 1 Chelsea 0, CL semi in 2005.

5. Not sure I can answer this one with any certainty. Kenny, Rushie, Jocky, Stevie, loved Didi to bits...always loved Craig Johnston too, the bloke travelled halfway across the world to play for us and he truly did 'get us' unlike some who have that label attached to them these days.

6. Steven Gerrard.

7. Unfortunately I think we'll drop off and finish 6th, no reason why we can't win t'cup though.

8. 2-2.

First memory has to be winning the league at chelsea ma dad is a massive chelsea fan and hates that his 2 boys are reds.

First game was Liverpool 4 -0 arsenal robbies last game well what we thought would be his last game.

first away was at coventry treble year i think. Gary mac scored a free kick great little boozer outside the ground which was bouncing before kick off.

My favourite game would be Roma in uefa cup semi houllier's first game back was a cracking atmosphere and the first time i personally witnessed the power of the kop as they should of had a blatant pen near the end of the game only for the kop to crack the ref into not giving it.

Favourite player of all time apart from the obvious choices its got to be peter beardsley for me was gutted when he left.

Current favourite player even after the summer from hell with the lad it has to be luis.  Its not even his skills as much i admire more his will to win that i love wish we had a few more with his mentality we would ve unstoppable.

How we will finish depends on where we sit after a jam packed Christmas schedule. If we still sitting pretty in the top four i can't see Brendan going gung -ho for the cup if the league position not looking good then fab cup could be a priority for him. Hope thats not the case but just think he will feel the pressure to deliver something this season

Newcastle prediction well a couple of weeks back and would of said an easy three points but remy seems to have found his shooting boots and cabaye has stopped sulking and is one he'll of of a player when he on it. Gonna say 1-1 but hopefully like most of my coupon predictions i'm wrong.

1. 1971 FA Cup Final when we lost to Arsenal. Stevie's lovely crafty opener, George Graham's jammy equaliser and Charlie George's fabulous winner. Of course he ruined it when he lay down on the floor and waited for his teammates to worship him. Tit!

2. Norwich 79-80 season, we drew 0-0. They were top of the league at the time, all my mates blamed me because we didn't score. My first taste of superstitions, little did I know they would follow me for the rest of my life.

3. Old Trafford 85-86, drew 1-1. They'd won their first ten games and were predicting a walkover against us. They finished fourth and we won the double. Oh how I laughed...

4. Jeez, this is a tough one. For sheer noise and excitement it would be the first 4-3 against Newcastle, I was in the Centenary Stand that night and the noise the moment Collymore scored was incredible. I couldn't remember anything like that.

5. Almost impossible question as the list is so long, so since I'm not allowed to say 'you-know-who' I'd have to say Ray Kennedy. Yeah, we've had amazingly talented players at our club, but for me his consistency and the way he would just appear in the box at crucial moments time and again, the calmness on the ball, etc. It didn't surprise me when Bob Paisley said he'd had more inquiries from other clubs about Ray than Kenny or Souness. The epitome of the team player.

6. With so many new faces it's another difficult question for me. Probably Glen Johnson, I really hope BR keeps the three at the back when he returns from injury because I'd love to see him as a right wing-back. Like many here, I feel the position is made for him.

7. I think with the start we've made despite no Suarez for six games and a number of key injuries, we could finish top three. I do believe City and United will struggle for the kind of consistency they would normally expect while Chelsea are still trying to work out their best team. If we can get a decent draw in the first two rounds then I could see us in the Final.

8. After starting the season with three consecutive 1-0 wins, I think we'll have three consecutive 3-1 wins. So, erm, 3-1 to us.

.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

1971 Cup Final, my family were Arsenal supporters and my best mate was a Red, and even though we lost I fell in love with Liverpool on that day,
it was helped by Charlie George being such a knob.

2. Your first game at Anfield

After moving to Oz as a kid, didn't get back until  06-07 game against Reading 2-0 both goals by Kuyt

3. Your first away game

Only friendly vs Melbourne

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

That one takes a lot of beating, but the 4-0 against Real Madrid a bit of Rafa magic, or when we beat Chelsea in the semi just for the look on Maureens face :)

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

First player I idolised was Keegan

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Mignolet because I met him on the street, but they are all great they play for Liverpool !

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

The early fixtures have been kind this season, and the team is full of confidence, so semis in the Cup and 3rd in the league.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week

another 4-3 to us of course

The days crawl by, and Liverpool fans with hope in their hearts are left crawling up the walls, a bit like depressed ice age sloths on a dope and downers binge. That's how it feels for me anyway. :wave

Something to pass the time:

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

listening to matches on the radio with me aul fella, particularly the european ones......was listening to the bayern munich semi final in bed by the end of the match, and remember him lifting of from his chair when dalglish equalised against arsenal in the fa cup semi replay that was 1-1 and went to 4 games....was actually sound listening to matches then watching later on on sportsnight if i got to stay up

also won a competition in one of my comics (look-in i think) to go meet kenny, but was too young to go at the time so my brothers went instead!!!!

2. Your first game at Anfield
vaguely remember going to emlyn hughes' testimonial, but could be a trick of the memory (i was 8 at the time, so no reason to think i misremembered)....went quite regularly throughout the 80's so don't actually recall a first one i went ot with mates and cousin

3. Your first away game
arsenal 87-8..........turned out to be a good season to go regularly!!!!

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)
probably the cup final against everton in 86......the perfect second half and end to a season.....the anfield derby in 87-88 (2-0 macmahon and beardsley) always makes me smile too.....but then there are loads like that

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)
fowler

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)
don't so much have favourites now, but i do want to see the young lads do well....sterling, ibe, robinson, flanaghan, wisdom, kelly, etc.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League
we will play in the 3rd round of the cup......not sure about the rest......think we have done well so far, and think we can maintain it, if rodgers can manage the resources as well as he has so far

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week
2-1 us i reckon......

I agree, international weeks are dire. The one saving grace this one has had is my interest in Sturridge's progress for England.

Anyway I've answered these without looking at any of the other answers to the thread.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

My first memories of Liverpool was at around the age of 7 or 8, when I was more interested in playing football than watching it I quite vividly remember indignantly answering 'why would I watch a football match when I can go out and play one with my mates?', when asked if I would like to watch a game. The thing that stands out in my memory is Fowler's nose piece, it was iconic, I'm pretty certain I tried to fashion one out of wet toilet paper to emulate him in the school yard.

2. Your first game at Anfield

I think it was vs PSV in 2006, I remember Crouch scoring and maybe a Gerrard penalty.

3. Your first away game

Never been I'm going to try and get to one of the London games this year though.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

I would probably say France vs Italy 2006 world cup final. I watched it in a field at a concert in Ireland, it was Zidane's last hoorah and he went out in style.
Other notable mentions include: MAn Utd 4 - Liverpool 1 and the FA cup final in 2006.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

My favourite player has to be Ronaldo closely followed by Henry. The world cup in 1998 was when I first truly got gripped by the football bug and Ronaldo was absolutely sensational throughout, the drama in the final also added to the intrigue. I always kept an eye on him throughout his European career and was always made up when he did well.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Toure. Professional and oozes quality.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

I haven't really thought that far ahead to be honest. I really think we need to finish in the top four, I have a feeling Rodgers' project may start to unravel if we don't. Gerrard, Toure, Suarez, Coutinho and Sturridge are pretty much all we have in terms of cream, the two initial players can't have more that a couple of good seasons left in them, Suarez looks like he'll leave in 2014 regardless and I can't imagine Coutinho hanging around if we aren't in the champions league.
I think we'll be much better placed to predict this at the end of this month but I'm going to say 3rd.
FA cup: I reckon Chelsea will win it.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

Watching the 65 F.A.Cup final against Leeds on TV. I can still 'see' St. heading in the winner!

2. Your first game at Anfield

1967 against West Brom (birthday treat for me).....we lost 1:0.

3. Your first away game

Everton 1968. Ended goalless.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

5:0 against Forrest at Anfield in 1988. Even the great Sir Tom Finney described the game as, 'The finest exhibition of football he'd ever witnessed!'

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

Ian Rush (if I'm not allowed to say the obvious answer).

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Probably the Magician...

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

FA Cup....Final; League.....3rd.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

not vivid but i remember going to my cousin's small little apartment and he had drawn an "eagle" on the wall. Then it just happens.

2. Your first game at Anfield

not yet. but soon. Financially more able now, so its in the plans to travel from the far east very soon.

3. Your first away game

Yet to go to one.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

Beating the blueshite in the FA Cup final. Only because i was young, not knowing anything about anything, just a ball travelling amongst 22 men. But the excitement, the passion was great.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

Robbie. As much as i love Kenny. And Barnes. And the lot actually.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

Steven Gerrard.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

i think we should end up 3rd or 4th. Tough one. Was wondering if we can indeed mount a serious challenge; the teams are not very strong, and we have as good a first eleven as the others.

BR not proven himself to be very good at cup competitions has he ? Quater finals for FA Cup.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week

i suspect it might tougher than expected. We win by 1-0.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds; FA Cup Final vs Sunderland 92, I was 6. There are pictures of me in LFC shirts from before this (Silver Candy from 89 was my first I think) but this was the first time I can remember sitting and watching a match and getting emotionally involved.

2. Your first game at Anfield- Unfortunately I had to wait until 1998 for my first trip, we played Charlton and drew 3-3!! They took the lead twice before Fowler put us ahead with about 10 mins to go, then they went down the other end and scored straight after, great game but very disappointing result. Evans and Houllier were in charge

3. Your first away game- Filbert Street 1996- We won 3-0, Patrick Berger's first game, he scored two and looked world class!

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)- United 4-1 at Old Trafford 2009, honestly I could watch that all day every day or 2001 FA Cup Final (although I remember the 92 victory my main memory of the FA cup up until this point was White Suits, Green Checks and Eric fecking Cantona).

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him). Robbie Fowler, easy. Any child growing up in 90's simply cannot say anyone else

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either). Sturridge

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League. I think we'll finished 4th or 5th (do not ask me to predict who'll finish around us because this season is shaping up to be very strange). I think we'll go all the way in the FA Cup ;D

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week- 2-1 to us

1. Owen. Just in general like.

2. LFC 1 - 0 United
(FA cup (last year?) You just knew Dirk would score it.

3. Only with my QPR mates unfortunately. Away to Southampton and Fulham.

4. That one.
Failing that when we done Chelsea 2 - 0. Two Torres wonder goals.

5. Zidane

6. DAgger  or Kelly, he heading for big things provided he sorts his injuries out.

7. FA Cup semi defeat.
And 4th spot after maintaining a title challenge well into april.

8. One a piece.

Your first memory of the Tricky Reds; FA Cup Final 1974 when we battered Newcastle 3-0

2. Your first game at Anfield- After pestering my Dad to let me go to match with him and my two older sisters he relented.  I wasnt allowed to go again for the longest time - we lost against Brimingham City, 1978 I think it was and our unbeaten run came to an end.  Cried my bloody eyes out.

3. Your first away game- Shrewsbury Town but not to watch the reds so I dont suppose it counts.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)- United 4-1 at Old Trafford 2009 probably.  We were playing some lovely football at that time.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him). It's difficult to think beyond Kenny but will go with Sami and the King is more than just a players.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either). Hard not to love Kolo
 :D

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League. 3rd in the league and win the cup.  Ever the optimist.

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

The FA Cup final in 1986. I have bits of memories from before then, but that is the one that sticks!

2. Your first game at Anfield

1996 FA Cup 3rd round game v Rochdale. 7-0, happy days.

3. Your first away game

Sheffield Wednesday in the 99/00 season (the year they were relegated. Don't remember too much of the game as I found it too strange being there.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

Not that one! haha... I'd actually say my favourite game in terms of pure emotion is tied between the first 4-3 against Newcastle ("COLLYMORRRRREEEEEEE!") and the 2005 CL semi second leg against Chelsea. I remember being alone at home screaming the neighbourhood down as we clung on at the death.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

Robbie Fowler.

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

An odd choice, but I really like Henderson. He may not be the flair player, but his attitude when his career has seemed over is just Liverpool through and through. Plus his goal celebrations are the best thing since Istanbul.

7. Your prediction for the rest of the season FA Cup & League

FA Cup I could see us going out early due to a tough away tie. People will bitch again about Rodgers not taking cups seriously. I genuinely feel we are in with a good shout of top 4, but it's going to be tight.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week

Hard one to call. On paper it should be a reasonably comfortable 3-1, but you never know. I wouldn't be surprised to see plenty of goals a piece as both sides seem to have had some defensive issues in recent weeks.

1. I have a vague recollection of me Dad and his brothers watching the '71 Cup Final on me Nan's giant 26 inch colour telly. I'd just turned 5.

2. v Leicester 1974. 2-1 win [2 pens by Alec Lindsay] think Keith Weller scored theirs.

3. 1982. A 1-1 draw at Stoke.

4. FA Cup final 1974, 3-0 vs Newcastle. Tin foil FA cups in the window, along with home-made crepe paper decs and [colour!!] pictures from the Echo from the week leading up to the game.

Absolutely tore them a new one in the game itself too. We were magnificent. Shanks conducting the crowd off the pitch, our front 6 conduting play on it. Have a look at some of the build up play that day; we really were a great team then.

Never been so excited about a game before or since. And we had a big fuck-off street party the next day to celebrate. Bloody fantastic it was.

5. Ray Kennedy. Majestic. Although watching the Kenny/Rush partnership at its pomp was staggering too. Made you a bit  blase about unbelievably skilful forward play.

From the more modern era, would have to be Sami.

6. Your favourite current squad member: Struggle with this one, as not really enamoured of the modern player, including ours. if pushed, I'd go for Lucas.

7. FA Cup - depends on draw, obviously. Would hope for later rounds at least. League; 6-7th.

8. Think we might draw 1-1

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds - Milk Cup Final win over spurs, rest of family support spurs, i went the 'other team' when Archibald scored and stuck with em.

2. Your first game at Anfield - v Sheff Wednesday, Collymore debut and goal

3. Your first away game - away at wimbeldon, won 3-1, whelan scored and barnes did too from what looked like a cross

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one) - on TV Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd, Rush & Walters stop Utd winning league, at the game , CL Semi-final v Chelsea 2005

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him) - Ian Rush

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either) - Coutinho

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

'84 in Rome. I watched it live with my Auntie Ruby in the living room and luckily my Dad 'taped' it on the video. I watched so many time after I knew all the commentary off by heart.

 2. Your first game at Anfield

84/85 season at home to Ipswich. We won and John Walk scored. (I think)

3. Your first away game

'87 v Everton.  Wayne Clarke ended the unbeaten run

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

If not Istanbul, the the semi. Best atmosphere you will ever experience.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

I have a thing about loyalty. So I'm going to pick SG (I know, but he didn't in the end did he)  I don't get people who pick the likes of Alonso, he sis leave us you know. As for people who picked McManaman, Jesus Christ!!

6. Your favourite current squad member (not him either)

1. Your first memory of the Tricky Reds

No idea of specifics. I do remember Kennys goal in the 1-0 win in the Euro cup one year plus lots of David Fairclough late goals.

2. Your first game at Anfield

Some game against Derby in 1978. We won 5-0

3. Your first away game

Never been.

4. Your favourite game of all time (not that one)

Its hard to pick just one classic. My best modern game I liked recently was Blackburn away last year. Goal keeping subs and Carroll scored the winner. The game had everything.

5. Your favourite player of all time (not him)

David Fairclough. Dont know why. He seemed to fit my personality when I younger. i didnt want to be the star player, but the being the impact sub and getting glory every now and then.

I wanna say 4th but my head says 5th. We'll miss out by a few points. FA Cup Qtr finals.

8. Score prediction versus the barcodes next week
I think we'll just scrape a 0-2 victory
