Pre-season doesn't matter in the slightest. All about fitness and game readiness.

But that referee? Fuck me. What a twat.

Given the way the ref is performing I'd say Salford.

Quick mate start a ‘Pre-season dodgy penalty/free kick’ thread
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

That sounds intriguing!

A 'pre-season dodgy penalty/free kick' thread you say?

Hmm. That sounds like a dastardly possibility. Pray, fill me in the devilish details for such a dastardly and daring deluge of drama!

I reckon that Klopp has asked this referee to be a biased incompetant twat to get us used to the idea of English referees again for the coming season

Good to see you're on pre-season Ref watch Andy. Some people think it's easy to hit the ground running on the first weekend of the season. But I know you go into an intensive pre-season, just the same as the players.

Gordon is really raw but his movement is excellent for someone that age, and Elliott is a clever little player to have in midfield, hope he gets chances there this coming season.

Good work out.

I'm always arsed somehow even about losing pre season friendlies but weirdly less so tonight.
Was all about the returning VVD & Jomez and both coming out unscathed.
Elliot looked good, as did Keita & Salah.
Really impressed by the young lad Gordon again.

Really enjoyed that. Always good to play against a team far ahead of us in preseason training. Ox, between Salah and Mane, is going to be dangerous if he can stay fit.

The midfield youngsters did well to keep the momentum going, shame that Gordon couldn't take his chances to really shine. Konate yet again impressed me.

So apparently the exchange in Bangor has caught fire so looks like it'll be off for a few days so I've got 2 kids tethering to my data via Bluetooth.

Yep as people have said, very little interest in the scoreline, but some tidy performances from the lads.

You can see the kinds of things they've been working on and nice to see with changes, we're still following a similar plan with similar ideas.

Exciting times ahead.

You can see the kinds of things they've been working on and nice to see with changes, we're still following a similar plan with similar ideas.

Exciting times ahead.

Agreed.. gotta stop those crosses getting in.
their 4th should have been our 3rd as we broke on counter - wrong choice by midfielder with the ball (I cannot remember who it was).

Great to have video of the big two playing their first game -https://twitter.com/LFCVideos5 as subs.

Loads of positives all round the park and starting to see some trends and great to have some of the core players back playing Big virgil, Matip, Gomez, Robertson, Jota all getting game time.

A good run out - apparently HBerlin have been training a few weeks longer than us. (this was this 6th match - they played their first pre-season game on 1 July -so nearly 3 weeks earlier than us).

Bring on Bologna.

PS HBerlin had 4 shots on target and scored all 4 - we had 10 shots and only got 3. Jovetic scored a brace and their 2nd was a worldie top corner after some sloppy defender from our left flank, midfield  and LB positions early in first half

Minamino scored - so maybe we can get some bids for him now
Elliott did ok and Naby was the standout midfielder
Mane & Salah looking sharp - Mo still does not have his scoring  touch and that luck for some goals.
