Think so too. If so, interested to see Gini as the 10. I think he'd be quite good there.

If it's diamond I think Stewart will sit, Gini and Grujic either side and ejaria number 10

Think the writing was on the wall when sent home from USA.

and then refused to go out on loan.

and then blurted out some crap on snapchat.

There has been much graffiti when it comes to Sakho this season.

I don't know how good the spuds side is.  Never heard of half of them.

However, I would like to congratulate Vorm on what will doubtlesss be an inspired performance tonight.

I'd loved to have seen Ings but I'm quite happy that. Arguably there is no weakness in it, all players have strengths :)

Strong options off the bench if needed too, moreso than Spurs anyway.

It is somewhat of a surprise given we played stronger teams against weaker opposition in the earlier 2 rounds. Suppose as has been mentioned, it probably has helped in the league though and now the 'first XI' is up to speed, it's a chance for the fringe players to show their worth. That Spurs side is full of players I've never heard of, so hopefully we have enough to see them off with ease and we don't need the likes of Mane to come on

It is a surprise it's a much weaker team given we ain't in Europe, it's not a priority tournament obviously, lets hope there's enough to beat these.

Taking my little girl (7) to her first competitive game tomorrow. Got her a shirt and scarf - she's absolutely buzzing and apparently hasn't shut up at school today about going. :D Really hope the lads can get a result for her/us. I always remember my first game at Anfield (Fowler 3-0 v Arsenal) and there's literally no better feeling than winning at your first game. I remember seeing the KOP for the first time and being completely mesmerised by it, seeing the passion from everyone around me when we scored, I was hooked for life. It'd be great if hers is a special performance too and we get the win.

Come on lads, don't let me down!  :scarf
Hope you're both enoying this special moment. :wave

Obviously the fact that  Spurs who are playing their reserves made a big impact on our team selection. They were never going to play their 1st team after 3 games in a row. Its a great opportunity for the rest of the squad to get game time against stronger opposition who will play to win rather than to just stifle.

Its a shame that Ings didn't get to start but Origi & Sturridge need time out on the pitch to get back into form. Hopefully today will be the day they add to their tallies.

Interesting lineup. I tend to advocate playing as many reserves and youngsters as possible in these fixtures but didn't see it happening so am pleasantly surprised. Klopp apparently said illness and knocks affected the starting eleven, so that obviously had an impact. Writing appears to be on the wall for Sakho, although he did look to be carrying a bit of timber for the u23s the weekend so maybe that's a factor?

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing Alexander-Arnold, Ojaria and Grujic. Come on lads!

It is weaker than our main 11 though. A players like Lallana, Can and Firmino could probably have played this game just fine.

Its exciting to have such a strong second team but it probably shows how disinterested Klopp is in this competition... which is a pity, we have few enough competitions to compete in this year. Spurs have to be favourites here. Also, Sahko, behind Klavan and *gulp* Lucas in the backline... not even on the bench... gosh. Seems a waste to me, he did well for Klopp last year.
Beatings will continue until morale improves...
