Avoided the HT thread for obvious reasons. Just wanted to say what a great three points that is. Shows a bit of steal to come from behind after an average first half. Love the threat that Mane brings and big kudos to Milner again. Loved the Cruyff turn!

A win is a win is a win. 1st half we were average. Better second half but Swansea had a lot of good chances. We looked ragged at the back and we still need to improve massively to challenge.

But we won and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Hope there is a round table for this match as there is plenty to discuss but this thread ain't the place.

International break and then United.

Poor first half lucky not to be 2-0 with our defending, defending set pieces has to change then we might even be able to keep a clean sheet. Much improved second half as expected a draw here wouldn't have been a terrible result so to get the win playing not so well is excellent.

Our signings, Mane didn't have as much energy about him as other games but still very good game from him. Wijnaldum anonymous first half much improved second half. Matip did ok. Karius personally probably a bit disappointed with that his quickness and vision is a welcome improvement his kicking was poor at times today and he's another one dodgy on crosses.

A game of two halves indeed. We'd have lost that last season, even in 13/14. When teams win leagues they look back on results like this and understand where they've won it. The first half was a disgrace, let's not mince our words. But I said at half time if they showed the belief in their abilities and a large dollop of character they could win it.

This is Klopp's Liverpool. It's fucking wonderful to see.

I thought we played well, especially after Sturridge came on, dominated the game and possession, aggressive off the ball. Yes we concede a few counters initially but there was none of that in the second half.

However, another set piece, another corner, another goal conceded. It's the one thing holding us back at the moment.

Thank f%# for that. We weren't great today. Swansea missed a few golden chances. I still can't believe they didn't tie it the game in the last minute. Bad game for the Reds. GREAT result. Sometimes you just have to scrape by. At least Lallana has 17 days of rest to get ready for the next match. Now to enjoy the weekend.

At half time, it was looking like Burnley all over again - Off the pace, nothing quite clicking, scrappy goal conceded (again).

We couldn't play much worse, and Swansea won't play better this season.

Second half was a COMPLETE reversal.
Never gave them a sniff (until that 93rd minute chance that really should have been a goal).
Lots of pressure, lots of pressing, lots of chances.

Someone said in the pre-match thread that we need to learn how to play shit and win........

Much better in the second half from Reds. I thought Swansea played well today and should have nicked at least a point if not for their piss poor finishing if I'm completely honest. Think this was probably the toughest game we've played this season and I can't quite wrap my mind around the fact that Swansea are sitting on only 4 points but I that's the premier league for you I guess.
The defence still worries me but until we can outscore teams that's all that matters. Bring on the mancs!

Poor first half. Biggest disappointment was the lack of cohesion and team pressing from the front, was non-existent.

After we scored we absolutely dominated for 15-20 min and should've scored at least two.

Thought we'd missed our chance and they started to come back into it, but thank god for Bobby's persistence.

Oh, and Coutinho is fucking class.

Helluva result. Helluva result. That game, last year, draw at best, most likely a loss. Real grit. There will be more games like that this season, where results must be dug out rather than splendidly sculpted.

I think if Liverpool had lost this it would have really set the side back, shorn them of confidence and belief. They could have been forgiven for thinking it would be another season of mixed results. The media would have compounded it with new narratives about being unable to win unless they score first etc. A draw would have been acceptable and another building block. A win though, a win, I think it will cause some people to sit up and take a bit more notice.

To quote our ex manager, we showed great character to come back there. Early kick off, rainy game, 1-0 down and forced to make an early change, we battled well and performed excellently in the second half and got our just rewards.

7 games in and we are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league. It's a concern for me. Teams know how to attack us now, corners, free kicks and long balls into the box. We need to improve there but we are a work in progress and I fucking love watching us play at the moment.
