Wembley: Anfield South
« on: February 3, 2012, 12:46:48 pm »
WEMBLEY

Website - http://wembleystadium.com/
Address - Wembley Stadium, Wembley, London, HA9 0WS
Telephone - 0844 980 8001
Capacity - 90,000
Allocation - Circa 31,000

Transport

The stadium is labelled as a 'public transport' destination. There is little parking available at the stadium itself and there is also a residents only parking scheme in operation in the local area. The stadium is well signposted from the end of the M1 & M40. Basically the stadium is just off the A406 North Circular Road. I would recommend parking at one of the tube stations at the end of the Metropolitan line such as Uxbridge, Hillingdon or Ruislip or at Stanmore on the Jubilee line and then take the tube to Wembley Park.

The nearest tube station is Wembley Park which is around a ten minute walk from the stadium. This is served by both the Jubilee & Metropolitan lines, although it is best to take the latter as it has less stops. Wembley Central is slightly further away from the stadium and has both rail & underground connections. This underground station is served by the Bakerloo line, whilst the railway station is on the London Euston-Milton Keynes line. The nearest train station is Wembley Stadium which is on the London Marylebone-Birmingham line.

Seating Plan

Ticket Prices

Category A - £90
Category B - £72
Category C - £56
Category D - £40
(All concessions half price)

Nice to see this here, Thanks Frank
Rossiter absolutely bossed it tonight. Really believe he'll end up playing more games this season than Lucas.

Henderson won't make it here. Sorry but he won't and won't

What about that protest camp at St Paul's? Is that still there? Half the tents are empty according to the Daily Mail. Get the tube to the ground on Sunday morning

Sound mate, how often do they run from Victoria to Wembley and do you know how much it is for a return?

You have to go on a couple of different lines but tubes are usually every 2-3 minutes. You'd be better off getting a travelcard for the day, a return on the tube costs nearly as much anyway I think. The journey is from zone 1-4 as well which will probably increase the price. On a Sunday it'll all be off peak and a travelcard means you can go anywhere you want all day.

Just butting in and don't know what your plans are but you can walk from Victoria Station to Green park station in about 10-15 minutes if that's easier.

Baker St was mentioned above. The Globe is one pub there as mentioned, there's a few half decent ones on Bake St itself from memory. I think one is called the Volunteer and is probably only 2 minutes from the tube station.

As for Wembley itself - really don't know if there's anywhere even half decent around there but a mate of mine used to live there so I can get the name of a few pubs from him and will post back in here if that helps.

The Victoria line is open. The Central line is closed east of Liverpool Street, part of the Northern Line is closed between Archway and High Barnet (the most northern part of the line, nowhere near Wembley or the centre of London), the Overground is part suspended between Richmond and Camden Road, and the Waterloo & City line is shut. The Met/Jubilee are fully open (as you'd expect) and all other lines are fully open. The closures won't affect anyone coming into Euston or travelling to the ground from the centre of London.
