Can I just add if you live near London and haven't been to Ruse for a game you really should. Was there last season for the Arsenal and Spurs games and the place was absolutely rocking. Fantastic venue, the people that run it do a great job of creating such a good atmosphere to watch the reds.

Was no offence intended in my original post, this was just how it seemed to me from the patrons side of the bar.

I will try out Ruse again in the future and I'm sure there is a cracking atmosphere for the games. Nice to see so many reds in London :)

No worries mate, hope to see you there soon.

Nice one Tony, will probably miss the Reds kick off, as I'll have to drop my bag off.
Don't fancy pushing my way into a pub with it and carting it round with me.

Apologies for posting this in here but cant seem to start my own thread. Is there a certain amount of posts you need to have reached? Anyway I want to go to the Boss night session in Sound Food & Drink before the Madrid game. Just wondering are these any good, have not been before.?

Loving the sound of this Ruse place! I live down in Chiswick at the moment and tend to head to Connolly's for the game. Tends to get a good atmosphere in there for a game if you live in the West. Definitely will give Ruse a go though since I've got mates up in Kennington. Cheers for the suggestion Tony

Chiswick you say! ;D

Connollys is ok unless there's a GAA game on or something.

Ruse is great. Suspect some of us will be there for the Newcastle game

You based Chis side as well Benitle?

Yea I've had a hard time tracking down anywhere good for a game in this part, especially now the George IV has got rid of all their screens.

Yes mate, European nights are just special + Real particularly because of the history of the fixture.

I know this thread is supposed to be about pubs in London but...

Does anyone know of a decent pub in Plymouth to watch our games?

I'm working down here for a couple of months n I can't find any good pubs (ones without an army of knuckle daggers in them), never mind a pub to watch LFC games.

Ruse was a good crack, went there yesterday and was really disappointed with the hazy 42 inch tv in the lounge area which about 50 odd reds had to surround.  You do really need bigger screens to accomodate for customers.  Considering you have expressed being an LFC London pub (as your banner states) and people go there based on that, we do deserve more in my opinion.

I want to support and go there, these are just my thoughts as things stand. :wave

Pat, seeing as myself + several of the lads were actually in Sofia, yes mate, I think we would regard it as a Lpool pub especially as most of us are born + bred Reds.

If the picture was hazy then I apologise and will check it out. Might have been the lead not connecting properly but Ruse is set up nicely for footy + for every other day of the week too. If people want to go to a sports bar with 50inch screens that will always be their choice - but just try + get Scouser Tommy + YNWA before kick off!!
