LOL so what would getting rid of Rodgers solve? Who would you replace him with?

No I was being serious, I'm on team Brendan! I don't wanna get rid of him. He's by no means perfect, has lots to learn and maybe he'll never be the greatest he can be with us, I don't know but I am certain that with the right forward players he can get us playing the kind of football that was frankly the most joyful I've had the pleasure of seeing a Liverpool side play.

Poo on a pitch.

Also if you are out there thinking/saying Allen was poor and Hendo played well enough, you're full of your own shit. I'm a massive Hendo fan but he was awful today. Lost count of how many times he lost the ball trying long, raking passes; then, to boot, he started giving the ball away on short, seemingly routine passes on the ground. Just awful.

I think a lot of these players will prove to be good signings. They are too young at the moment to deal with the pressures of playing for LFC. The team needs goals and experience, the signings we've made will gel with that perfectly in the next year or two

Losing his best players year in a year out to his main competitor in the same league and loads of injuries to key players this season.....

Lets just ignore the fact hes a multiple league winner though and guided them to a CL final...

Then theres De Boer whos we've been linked with aswell....  Either of those 2 could attract big name players without CL football something which Brendan cant do because hes not proved he can win anything.  In fact hes looked tactically inept in knockout football.

Lots of potential in some of them like Can and Markovic but they are being constantly played out of position which dosent help.

Joe Allen:

7 tackles, 5 interceptions, a last man tackle, 88% pass completion, 1 key pass.

Stats, you hate em! I didn't need em to see he had a very good game but maybe it'll help some of the people saying he was shite. He gave his all and he made some fucking great tackles.

Allen played well. Most of the players played well individually but there was no cutting edge at all to our play. The ideas and determination were missing.

Seriously, I'll do the job for nothing. We might not win, but we'll at least get players in the box, and anyone who can't pass 5 yards to a man in a red shirt gets dropped until they learn how.

Oh, and we'll be good on set pieces.

Seriously hard to defend Brendan when the football is that abysmal.

But still - no goalscorers. 9 shots on target. None of them in the net.

Either Rodgers knows he's gone, and is just keeping his head above water until the end; or he knows he's there next season, no matter what, and he's just playing out time until he can get the strikers he needs.

Either way, something's up.

Awful season that made a mockery of last year.

You got my vote PoP

Remember all the super fans in the summer saying what great signings we were making.

To be fair, apart from Balotelli there was almost universal praise for the players we signed, and most fans were excited about the season ahead. With hindsight its easy to say its gone horribly wrong, but I really don't think many predicted it would be this bad.

Do you mean Hull were fighting for their lives, and the players were desperate not to get relegated and lose half their wages? And do you mean, Suarez is a fantastic footballer, that could change any team, but he decided he didn't want to play for us any longer?
?
Or are you just throwing a wobbler because your expectations weren't met and you feel like sulking. Doesn't matter. Don't answer. I'm off before this crap drives me mental

Fighting for their lives, yes, but when we've spent the amount of money we did last summer you'd expect us to have the players to beat relegation fodder!

No better than we were under Hodgson...out-fought and out-thought at every turn....

the dream is over.....rip it up and start again

And Kenny. We pretty much disintegrated under him too.

The manager is the tip of the iceberg.

Perhaps we can make Jurgen Klopp our new scapegoat.

Allen's position was sometimes out of position.   Made a couple of mistakes there that could have allowed Hull to score more.

Allen was probably our best player tonight never stopped and made several key interceptions when Hull broke.

The entire club stinks from top to bottom.  There are little positives at all.  Stay away owners, little investment beyond what's made in sales, atrocious structure at the top over here, mish-mash of individuals supposedly at odds with the manager culminating in chucking money at garbage, a manager who's selections and tactics just get more bewildering every game, and players who look half arsed or who are obviously angling to get out.

Fuckin amateur hour every hour.

All a bit of a shit sandwich really.
The worst thing is if we were just a little bit less average; had just one player capable of getting 15+ goals in all comps, we could have been talking about a CL qualifying place and an FA cup final this season. The standard of the league is shocking yet we're looking up the table again. Missed opportunity doesn't even begin to describe it.

What I can't understand is how we were incapable of finding ONE half-decent goalscorer in two transfer windows. Unbelievable really and inexcusable.

BR post-match interview was interesting.

Said it was frustrating, but made out like we were unlucky because Hull didn't have many chances.

Also said 5th is "about where we're at", whatever that means.

It's where we're at right now, but I wouldn't guarantee it by the end of the season.

Unless he inspires these players then another 7th place finish is on the cards. Pressure will really mount.
