This is a season defining group of 5 especially when you bear in mind international break and CL group games. I would say that if we still head the league after these , which probably means a minimum of 12 points we can start to dream.

Start dreaming after Christmas

Leicester won't have Vardy, though, which will weaken them.

Just spotted our fixture list until Man City. Ouch.

I think we're good enough to to dominate it, but, 1xSpurs, 1xCity, 2xChelsea, 1xPSG + more in 3 weeks is big

Yeah, tough schedule that, but I think we should have enough to get through this relatively intact. Feels great to have this sort of problem again.
Get the tough fixtures out of the way earlier. We have smooth sailing from January onwards.

I'm confident about the Spurs game... we'll get something from one of those 2 fixtures against Chelsea. We'll be able to compete with City, but anything can happen there really.
PSG.. I won't call.

If we can get +50% win percentage from these games, I'd be happy. Expectations shouldn't be too high for a run like that- you win some, you lose some.

That makes it look a lot worse though. For example our Spurs match will be over at 2.30pm tomorrow then we don't play until 8pm Tuesday night - that's over 3 days in real time, not 2. It's also 3 nights of sleep which is one of the most important factors.

Surely its the total number of hours and amount of nights that is important, rather than simply counting from the day after the match to the day of the next match?

There's no doubt its a tough schedule, but any other top team competing on 4 fronts is in exactly the same position, and we have a big enough squad now to rotate without dropping quality.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

Bingo - it's hours rest more than actual days, to be more accurate. Also, what gets done in training in the mean time. Plus rotation. On paper, it's a punishing schedule, but as long as Klopp doesn't get any mad fitness training ideas, and as long as we use our squad, we should be fine.

The recovery aspect is hours but the tactical aspect would benefit from more days I'd think. Klopp can only think about so many things at one time

Think we can get all 15 or at least draw any games we don’t win. Spurs will have a slow start to the season so we should be able to beat them easily.

Next five -

Southampton H - 3
Chelsea A - 1
Man City H - 3
Huddersfield A - 3
Cardiff H - 3

I see us winning comfortably against Southampton, Huddersfield and Cardiff. We have a good record against City, especially at home. I think the match we're most likely to drop points in is the one against Chelsea, which will probably be a draw.

West Ham (H) - 3.
Crystal Palace (A) - 3.
Brighton (H) - 3.
Leicester (A) - 3
Tottenham (A) - 3 - They won't have Mignolet gifting them 3 goals this time around.

I was thinking we might drop points to Chelsea and City, but then I think of how solid our defensive unit looks and that the front 3 are as deadly as anyone, so I'm going on the optimistic side and going all 15 again.

Expecting 13-15. Cardiff and Huddersfield simply have to be gimmes. Southampton not far off though we might toil a bit after a midweek game. City at home is almost like a bye for us  ;D no but seriously we are so in their heads I think we'll beat them again. Chelsea away, better side than them but it's at their place and they have good experience at winning these sort of games over the years, I'll go draw.

If we get 15 from that lot though then we will not be caught.

City and Chelsea looking like the main threats.   Think we easily have the beating of the rest so 3 wins and 2 draws, 11 points.   On second thoughts City will crumble at Anfield and Chelsea are shite.  15 points.

A dream start from a difficult set of fixtures. We're definitely a contender but it's going to get even more difficult now. We've put ourselves into a great position going into them, though.

They're going to take points off somebody, somewhere, but I think Huddersfield and Cardiff are a free 6 points at the moment. Southampton are poor too. Chelsea and City will be close-fought battles - I can see us winning either game, but I wouldn't be unhappy if we shared the points in those matches.

Southampton H - 3
Chelsea A - 1
Man City H - 1
Huddersfield A - 3
Cardiff H - 3
