Joyce has been taken the distance by Kash Ali. He needs to stop fighting beyond car park level.

That video is just is sad, he's having a Britney meltdown.

I'm expecting him to shave his hair off and dance naked along Sunset Boulevard, shouting Illuminati stuff.

Garcia needs to get help asap and get rid of that poisonous inner circle who are exploiting him.

He's done from Boxing.

The worst thing is that he's up against someone I would expect him to lose to in the best-case scenario. Haney is an outstanding fighter who lacks real power which means Garcia could take a serious, life-altering beating in there if he isn't dialled in, and I seriously doubt that he is.

The fight should be called off in all honesty.

That'll be for the IBF title will it not?

It's very unlikely the IBF will have made the title vacant before then.

Hyrgovic is in training camp because if Fury pulls out of the May 18th Usyk fight, Hyrgovic is then contracted to step in to fight Usyk on the May 18th date which then takes care of Usyks mandatory to keep the belt.

If Hyrgovic isn't required then he would obviously need a fight to make his camp worthwhile, Dubois would be a good opponent and an interesting fight.  The bottom line these days is that these fighters do whatever 'His Excellency' tells them to do  ;D

Yeah this isn't a fight that would have happened a couple of years ago.  Hrgovic would have kept ticking over against the bum of the month and keep hold of that #1 contender spot.

It sucks for anyone who wants to actually watch a live fight though because the big matches are always going to be in Saudi now.

If the fight goes beyond 6 rounds, there will be about 15 punches thrown per round as opposed to the 30 per round at the start. Zhang is dangerous for a few rounds and I don't think Wilder has much punch resistance left.

Would be some card if they pull it off

Beterbiev v Bivol
Hyrgovic v Dubois
Wilder v Zhang

3 almost 50-50 fights, I'd go Beterbiev, Hyrgovic, Zhang

Zhang all wrong for Wilder even before he was shot imo, there was talk of Wilder v Joyce which was a much better match up for Wilder.

Theres also talk of Joyce and Parker rematching,  how do people see that one going if made?

Parker will run rings around him.

Joyce looks shot since those Zhang fights.

I'd think the same pal but theres nothing truer in boxing than the 'styles make fights' analogy, sometimes someone you dont expect just has someone elses number.  You just think an active Parker would be a lot smarter this time, going in and out, rather than slugging it out with someone 2 stones heavier

Parker would beat Joyce handily in a rematch IF, as you right say, he avoids a slugfest. He lost the first fight due to an accumulation of damage rather than being nailed by a big shot. Joyce is very unlikely to catch him with a single, fight ending punch. If Parker was to box and move, he takes a wide UD. Joyce seems to have lost whatever it is that he had a couple of years ago. He is 38 years old coming off the back of two damaging defeats.

I think Joyce has turned back into what he always looked like from the start.  He just had a mini run from the Dubois to the Parker fights where his opponents seemed to do exactly what he wanted them to do.

A semi-decent card tonight. We'll know more whether Wardley is any good or not tonight I think. By that I mean whether he could join Dubois in the paper champion category in a few years. Clarke is SLOW, I mean he's slower than Joyce. If Wardley is decent or better, I would expect him to dominate and stop Clarke quite handily by the mid rounds. If not, it will become a slog and Clarke might grind him down later on.

I'm quite dubious about Marku as well; not at all sure about him, and it wouldn't be a shock if Congo beats him, possibly by stoppage since Marku has been dropped and hurt in his career by less than stellar opposition.

That showboating bellend Whitaker is on as well.

In other news, Erislandy Lara fought last night; he's fought about twice in 4 years! Still has it with an early stoppage of Michael Zerafa. Lara is a frustrating fighter, very talented but appears as often as Halley's Comet.

By that I mean he'll need to tone it down as he moves up.
