Anyone on the train from lime street seems most are on coaches

Yeah best not take the risk of catching the last train as with the game not finishing till 10 we'll be kept behind for 35+ minutes which by then is 10:35 not to mention the possibility of ET and pens. So you won't be getting to piccalilli at the earliest for 11.

They'll hold back trains apparently

Guaranteed they will. The GMP and BTP will want us gone as soon as possible. Will definitely be trains available for us.

Drove on my previous visit to Old Trafford but would much prefer to get the train this week. What's the easiest way of getting to the station after the game?

Take the Metrolink at Old Trafford. Stop At Picadilly . Here's the map

And that'll be doable after the game in time to get the last trains back to Liverpool?

Last night game there we got the train and coming back the police just lobbed everyone on a tram from old Trafford that went to oxford road then a train from there to lime street.

Last train's out of from Piccadilly are as follows;
Lime Street is at 23:14 (Via Victoria)
Chester is 00:32 (There's one at 23:17 but it's the Northern train and anyone who's travelled on that train knows that's to be avoided at all costs!)
Preston is 23:46
Crewe is 23:38 (HOWEVER this is a rail-replacement bus!)

Any others give us a shout. I'm bored.

No, don't get the Metrolink as you could be queuing for an hour and it takes a while. Get the special train at the platform right behind the South Stand, which goes back to Oxford Road.

That 'train' from Crewe is actually a train to StockPort and then a Bus to Crewe that gets there just before 2am so it's not that much of an option as it sounds! (I'd looked at it myself).

Walk to OT tram stop and tram to Altrincham then luckily got myself a lift from there is what I'll do after.
I can't see there being much of a queue for this apart from the LFC fans as we'll be quite behind everyone else having been kept in or is it that busy we will join an existing a very large queue?

Yeah we'll get kept behind. Them lot got kept behind last week. However saying that if we score 2 early goals by full time there'll be no need as they'll have all fucked off!

I think we will as well but was wondering if anything had been announced on it. They might play it by ear same as theyve been doing in the league, as you said if its not a tight game and we get an early goal then theres probably no need to

Hopefully back at Pic for the 2314 to chester via Warrington.
I hate that Northern train think I'd rather wait at Pic than get on that again.

Liverpool to train at OT Wednesday night ahead of our away leg, unlike the Mancs who got permission to train at their Carrington base when they played at our place.
I do like the way Klopp approaches things....is it mind games? I'm not sure, but I like it😃

Nope, but you will have to buy a membership as well.
So about £30 for the ticket and £20 for the membership.
I wonder how many will be in the home section for this.
Given that there is still at least a couple of thousand tickets still for sale.

Plenty, apparently Utd have sold more memberships in the past week than any other week since the start of the season.

Do you have to name a home player at the turnstiles then, to prove you're a genuine Utd fan  :o

Are you still not changing the policy on asking for late spares as its easy for people to be there in time for kickoff if people dont turn up for coaches etc? Some of us will be in manc anyway

haha that reminds of the game years ago where danny murphy scored when neville handballed i was on the metro or train back to oxford road from old trafford trying to look as upset as the rest of the mancs on there next minute my nokia ring tone goes off with YNWA playing luckily it was about an hour or so after the game so not to much hassle to a few dodgy looks

Yea, years ago I was queueing round anfield at like 5 in the morning to get tickets for, I think, Real at home. Everyone's stood there wondering wtf we were doing at this time and then some blokes phone goes off with z-cars as the ringtone, made us all chuckle for 30seconds before continuing to try and sleep standing up.

The match tomorrow though, anybody have any ideas on a decent place to park around there? Should be up by 4-4.30 so should be alright for a space I'd have thought

The cricket ground or the war museum are both pretty good.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool.
