Just feels a bit too frantic. Plenty of time to turn it around, but we won’t if panic sets in. Need the crowd second half. And by that I mean a bit of belief. Feels like a bit of defeatism with the injuries, shite as they are. Have we learnt nothing from Jürgen’s time here? Come on red men, you can do these.
That's the impact of winning experience.  Some of the kids are understandably struggling but some will say bin other chances to make them winners.

Exactly think been some arrogance amongst some people thinking we “should” beat them.

Yes if we should in a normal day but this is a patched up side and it shows.

Luton might be 3rd bottom but whenever I’ve seen them they don’t play like they are a relegation team even though they are favourites to go down they always fight until the end.

Definitely some arrogance in the fan base. Its not easy with so many injuries.

Na the players on the pitch should be capable of beating Luton. Gakpo has been completely anonymous. Diaz can't do anything right. Harvey has been piss poor. And the midfield - fuck me they've been atrocious.
Indeed but if any other team had 9 of it's first choice 11 out it would e a headline

Robertson on, gomez to right back. Push Bradley forward and move Elliot central. Drop macca back and take Endo out. Might be harsh on Endo as he's not really done anything wrong. But gives us a bit more pace on the right

We have been excellent. Klopp rightly telling the fucking crowd were to to go when Harvey overhit that through ball. We just need to be patient and keep creating these chances. Keep the faith

Gakpo has been far better, the problem is he’s playing a false 9 role when we don’t need it, if Núñez Salah or Jota were on the pitch and he’s playing the same way it would have been a good performance. He’s a hurdling the ball, winning it back, played some good layoffs including one that created a chance for Elliott.
He's our only recognised goalscorer, he needs to be getting in the box.

Need to somehow salvage a draw….every point is crucial.
Just can’t see us scoring…..if there was a game not to go behind in, this was it….as we don’t have strikers to turn it around.
The Luton defenders can recover as we have no pace up top.

We will score, they're not keeping this amount of hard work up.

Draw absolute best case scenario here. Not totally unexpected given the injuries.

Elliot and Diaz having shockers.
Or a win. That’s also the best case scenario.

It is not. Losing to a relegation battler at home in a title race is a terrible terrible result. You saw us lose two titles by a point, right?

Just really poor all round.

Some of these players starting tonight aren't as good as a lot of people think they are; certainly in the roles they are playing anyway. They're perfectly fine facilitators but struggling to believe any of them would step up over a sustained period.

For me Klopp should be reacting to the injuries by changing something too. Think matching them up with Bradley and Robbo/Tsimi as wing backs tonight and using three CBs to make us more solid and unlikely to concede first would have been better than shoehorning in Elliott off the right.

Robbo on at HT could still have a big impact anyway and no reason we can't turn it around. But man these injuries are so annoying and concerning.

It was 2 too many.

Especailly the second shot where for once Gakpo has made an overlapping run into the box, criminal to shoot there.

They won't be able to keep it up for 90+ minutes though as they are unchanged from Sunday.

Thats our biggest hope at the moment, hard to put any of the kids on to change the game for us. One thing to be poor up front but we shouldn't be letting in soft goals like that.

Another big 2nd half coming lets step this up and grab a quick equaliser

We will score, they're not keeping this amount of hard work up.

Totally. The plan was clearly to put everything into the first half and see what they could get, then defend it if they managed to find a way through. They've done the first part, but I doubt they can do the second. Our lads need to find the target though, and I'm pretty sure Luton are looking at this as a free hit. They didn't expect to come here and get anything, so throw caution to the wind. Just so happens we are having one of those nights so far.

Unfortunately our finishing and general attacking play in the final third has been poor. Still had plenty of chances to score, but its not even been a shot thats looked like it could belong in the goal or even challenge a goalie. Need to improve alot, but from where is difficult to say as we are just lacking to many players so the ones out there has to really show up a bit more. If we can get one then we look good to get a few, but first we need to look good enough to put a goal inside the net.

Come on Liverpool!!!!!YNWA

This. One proper connection was Luis which went over the bar.

Their goal came because they struck the ball well enough to defeat our keeper.
Too many of ours have either been wide or bounced through for the keeper to catch.
