Yeah, but we won that. I'd gladly see him let us down if we win this game :)

Fair point.

Another thing is that twat Atkinson would love to send one of our players off. Flanagan needs to stay on his feet.

Happy for Flanno. Hope he does well. Bit of a shame that Phil isn't starting but apart from that the team looks fine.

This. But lets all get behind Flanno and give him our full support. The lad is going to need it.

He was poor last week, and probably not sharp in training - obviously still not recovered yet.

Pretty sure it was Arsenal? Kenny was having a laugh with him to calm him down as well, before sending him on..
It was the "piss off" game.

You are talking about Robinson. Not his debut though. He had Walcott in his pocket that game!  ;)
If he was Dudek would've saved it...and there would be no film.

Theres a reason why Rodgers played Henderson and Sterling in the RWB position, and that is because Flanno is not suited for the role.

Re Flanagan:Only Gibbs to follow as the rest fancy themselves a CM`s.First crunching tackle could be definitive, but since when do Arsenal head for the line and cross? Toure has to stay tactically astute and not get pulled wide.Giroud`s head without Skrtel`s presence could also be felt.

Hhhmmmm........,bet their dressing room is fretting more about SAS then we are about our RB-keep it that way!!

In the predictions thread I said 3-3 and I still think it will be a score draw.

As for Flanagan, I'm not worried, because I think he'll work as hard as he can tonight and put in a good performance.

We're gonna win this one, Toure is boss, Gerrard is boss, SAS are boss, Lucas is boss. I think theres a lot more belief now, we've got a bit of mental strength back, now we have to prove we belong at the top again.

we had good width with G.Johnson and he was a real threat going forward, so I was hoping for a draw with him in it. But now it seems BR is gonna play defensively with Flanagan.
Agger must want to move as Vice captain cant get a game even though it would be more sensible for him to come in and Toure to play RB or RWB.

Going for 3-1 loss
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.

Based on the Palace game neither is Sterling to be fair, he didn't look comfortable there at all.  Given the performance last week I wouldn't want us to change the midfield either.
