Different rules apply when they’ve got the ball then? They can tug, pull and kick us in their half and the ref gives nothing, if we so much as stretch a leg out to win the ball cleanly then it’s a free kick?

Van Dijk looking like he was getting annoyed with those in front of him in those last 5 minutes. He needs to keep directing and shouting at them. Have to keep going and concentrating as they showed in the first game that they aren’t going to tire.

I can't actually believe how unbelievably poor this ref has been. It's unreal. How on earth is he chosen for such a big match?!

I'd bring on Fabinho on for Henderson, or Keita and shift Gini to 6. He's been so poor defensively, and Virgil's obviously getting pissed off with the continuous back passes, which saw him actually lift his head for those cross field balls we saw before our goal.

Koulibaly is one hell of a defender. He's unreal.

Predictably stressful.

Everything that needs to be said on that ‘refereeing’ performance has already been said. It’s just unreal it’s able to happen at this level.

We need another 2 to start to feel comfortable, but that was always going to be the case. Napoli have looked like they can trouble us, but really haven’t done much, just the one hit after Salah missed his chance early on.

TTA and Hendo, defensively, are causing us huge problems. If we do go through, and it’s a very big if given Napoli are more than decent, we would miss big Virgil enormously.

The yellow for VVD and the free kick were correct. But the ref is giving them lots of 50/50s they barely deserve.

This is the 5th time this ref has refereeed us. We lost the first four, so the omens aren’t good.

We're playing brilliantly, all over them and they look rattled. Koulibaly was playing well until that goal, Salah skinned him and now he doesn't know what to do.

Every 50/50 going their way, every 90/10 going their way. If we get through, big Virgil misses the next match thanks to the most ridiculous yellow card I've ever seen! I mean he waved play on and then blew up for a free kick and yellow card.

Mané adjudged to have fouled the keeper when all he did was stand there, Milner a free kick for winning a header etc etc

Pressing back in full effect! It is making us so much more dangerous in attack, but we need to be careful, they look dangerous on the counter and we have found ourselves outnumbered at the back on a few occasions. Hopefully we can get to 2-0 and then ease up on the pressing.

Pulsating stuff. There's a real edge to this given they just need the one goal and we have a mountain to climb. Virgil looks rightly pissed off with his peers and rightly so, there's been a slightly sloppy feels to some of our play that could get punished. Mane has been a little quiet, wanna see more of him running them with ball at his feet. Given Dijk's yellow the others really need to stay awake. The quality up front had them creaking often...a bit of quality down the middle to supplement what we have up front and Napoli will finally CRACK.
Nice break by Matip to Milner. more of that can really open them up also.
