What do you think of Pliskova vs Puig?

I often find myself leaning towards Puig to win after her incredible Olympic gold, beating Pavlyuchenkova, Muguruza, Siegemund, Kvitova and then Kerber.. but she really outdone herself there. I think Pliskova struggles vs similar players to herself, leggy, big serve.. I imagine Puig's style of play will suit Pliskova and for that reason i'm backing her, odds could be kinder though

That's a match I skipped straight over when I saw the odds. I wouldn't be rushing to back Puig at odds on against almost anybody but I don't think Pliskova is worth backing at that kind of price either.

1/2 on Gimeno seems decent enough odds to throw in an accy to me. Not the player he was but his opponent has no pedigree on clay.

Yeah, that was quite the collapse from Pliskova. I got on Garcia when she was a couple of breaks down because I thought she'd turn it round and win in 3. Wasn't expecting a straight sets victory to be honest. Pliskova looks ordinary every time I watch her, she's got a massive serve but she makes a lot of errors and struggles to defend.

I'm surprised Halep hasn't drifted more in the outright for the FO. She picked up an injury in Rome and is still only 7/2 to win Roland Garros. She posted this on Instagram yesterday;

Arriving early in Paris for treatment. The MRI scan shows a torn ligament from the fall in Roma. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for RG and will do everything possible to be ready. Doctors say it's 50/50 at the moment but it's made good improvement since Sunday. Thank you for all of the support the last few weeks. We are remaining very positive 💪😊😘 Love, Simo

not alot on today, especially on the womens side.. punts without any great degree of certainty they will win in Miyu Kato a young Japanese girl who is on a steep incline atm and already won

Yesterday Kato was 3.80 to beat Sramkova and breezed it 6-1, 6-2. Same goes for the day before, straight sets win as underdog.

She does face a favourite of mine in Jabeur but I think Kato might grind out a 3 setter.

Diyas has a great shot at beating Mattek Sands, infact i'd say thats bet of the day in womens tennis. Evens and she should be the victor truth be told.

 Zanevska is good odds to win in a 50/50 encounter. Get on Vondrousova 6-0 again, she is a calibre of player who should be in the maindraw no questions asked but obviously she's just a kid so having to go through here.

I don't think either player is worth backing at the current odds. Gavrilova has won all 3 of their competitive meetings, including a match in Rome last week but she's had a couple of long matches as you say. If pushed I'd say Gavrilova wins because she's more consistent but she doesn't appeal at odds on.
