Dallas show looked more like a WWE PPV what with all the empty seats. Losing The Elite hurt them a lot, but the show was still really good and the fans made a ton of noise. It still looked good on TV! New Japan also announced they would be doing an East Coast tour at the ECW Arena, Hammerstein Ballroom, and Lowell Auditorium in Chicago which are the same venues ROH use... only they're not co-promoting it with ROH. I think that business relationship will be dead a year from now.
CMLL Chief Promoter Paco Alonso passed away a couple of days ago, Jericho put up a video on his instagram of himself grieving and said Paco was the first promoter to ever put him in the main event of a show, and also named him Lionheart. He took over CMLL in the mid 70s which made him the 2nd longest reigning wrestling promoter after Vince himself, only by a couple of years. AAA's General Manager passed away a couple of years ago too so we have a changing of the guard in Mexico over the next couple of years.
Next weekend (13-14th of July) is a massive week for wrestling. There's WWE Extreme Rules, NJPW G1 Climax Nights 2 & 3, and AEW's Fight for the Fallen. I'm glad I've got it off!
