Hes very good on the ball and his ability to beat players in central midfield is what stands out and has people making crazy comparisons to zidane and seedorf.
Eventually he ll want to win things and play in CL so might have to move, will be interesting to see how he develops at a big club.

Lampard and the like go by rep and probably don't put as much work in after playing as the lesser known, lesser ability players. The big players have more opportunities elsewhere to make good money if they want to stay in football. If you don't have that reputation, you need to work your way up and prove yourself by constantly bettering yourself.
