Yeah im not having that. We were shite, they beat us on xG as well.
The first was an open goal from a lucky bounce and we gifted them high xG chances for their 3rd and 4th.

xG is misleading. The counters and openings we messed up don't go into it.

Even their last goal was a lucky bounce as sometimes it hits the posts and doesn't go in like Toney today. It was just a weird game

The decisions in this country are becoming a fucking farce. I just watched the Newcastle game. The first penalty is soft but you can see why it is given but the second penalty is a disgrace. In what way can you kick a defender looking to clear the ball fall over and it's a penalty? When you think of the penalty we didn't (Doku) get and the penalty Newcastle got what is the fucking point of VAR?

Think Gordon gets his leg in front of the ball knowing Phillips isn't paying attention and takes the contact. I thought it was quite clever at first, but he actually plant's his leg and is lucky he didn't end up fuckin injured.

The games just changed, I watched a clip of the Everton match where they wanted a pen. Can't remember who it was gets a tap on the ship and they just jump in the air. Commentator saying there is contact. We're at that point now all contact is a fuckin foul

I've just watched the Chelsea game. The Chelsea penalty is shocking. The Burnley player simply challenges for the ball. A penalty and second yellow and VAR reviewed it and thought it was fine.

Thought the same. They were side by side, hand on shoulder at most. The problem is the onfield ref gives it and VAR backs his mate of course. How Burnley got a point after that disgrace I don’t know.

The two Gordon penalties are part of a worrying trend we’re seeing where the forward sees the defender about to play the ball and then plants his foot between the defender and the ball. To me, the forward is initiating the contact there and it shouldn’t be a penalty. On the upside if Gordon keeps doing that someone will break his leg.

and right on cue the comms and pundits call him "clever".  it's a fucking disgrace.  bad enough when it was (mostly) just Grealish and Kane being clever game after game. someone needs to challenge the morons who say that and force them to explain what is clever about fooling the ref.

Not quite the same, but similar, was against Brentford where the forward just jumped between Robertson and the ball and tried to claim a pen. Happily that one wasnt given, but refs are still giving these ones where as you say, the forwards are initiating contact and looking to collide with a defender rather than making an attempt to play the ball.

We won't know what the best result here is until the end of the season. Statistically maybe a draw is best but who knows.

No point worrying about what the result will be or losing our arses with whatever the result ends up being. There are positives and negatives to all possibilities. Just sit back and enjoy knowing we have 3 points in the bank.

Not really arsed about the result, if you're positive any out come is good and if you're negative it'll be "fuck, Arsenal have all the momentum, we're fucked", "fuck, a draw keeps them both right in it, we can't slip up", and "fuck, City are inevitable at this stage, nailed on to win every game for the next 6 years" etc.

If Arsenal do win though we'll probably see a worship on here that even our league and CL winning teams didnt get, the praise in the last 6 weeks has been insane.
