Can’t remember whether I actually DM’d Samie, so have done (probably for the 2nd time).

First time for someone to slip into hi ps dms twice, he’ll be having a shower.

Really wanted Seedorf but naively thought he play slip a few rounds. Nice pick

Forgot he even existed til he was picked  :D  No shade, just someone who slipped through the net. Expect there will be a few more like that.

The research is the best bit. That and staying up all night plotting your next picks only for them to all be taken before your turn

Not meaning to pick on Red after Lahm-gate, but can I get some story on that Iniesta celebration? It's not one I remember besides of course the goal itself. Sorry, I was half comatose this morning and the tiny pic makes it hard to tell what's going on.

Generally, I didn't have shirt messages in mind for this category unless it's something especially impactful (there are only a couple I can think of).

Sorry to say that's a negative on Barnes, Surfer. The category specifically asks for a picture because the idea is to emblazon the draft thread with 19s in celebration of Klopp getting us the big one. So even though we know he wore that number in 86, if there's no picture of the number visibly on him then he's not on the table.

Believe me I tried my hardest to find one. But unfortunately having only spent 17 minutes on the field in one match there isn't anything.

Its a message in memory of Dani Jarque, a close friend of Iniesta's, who passed away the year before. IIRC, Fabregas did the same two years later when they won Euro 2012.

I'd have gone for the Iniesta celebration to knock Chelsea out wearing the yellow kit after his last minute goal at Stamford Bridge. Very memorable.

Interesting. It's not something I was aware of at the time. Obviously it was hugely important to Iniesta (and Fabregas), but I'm honestly not sure whether I'd call it particularly iconic.

The idea for this category is to find those celebrations that were trademarks for a player (King Kenny's arms in the air, Batigol's machine gun fingers) or those one-off celebrations that were either controversial, funny or off the wall.

I'm open to hearing opinions on it, but I think shirt messages are rarely that.

I think it's important to seperate the goal from the celebration. Is this one more memorable because of it being a last minute winner or what he was wearing? If that had happened in a league game would you even remember it?

It's crumpled and you can't remotely see the 19 clearly. Not trying to be a pedant, but the draft is about celebrating Klopp not about sneaking in your favourites.

Bale's awful trademarked celebration thankfully been confirmed. Though I'm not proud I had to resort to that

Aye, can't fucking stand it. But it's very much his celebration, so fits the brief perfectly  :thumbup
