Anyone used or using those Sport Options or World Choice sites? Could be a useful back-up option, are they reliable?
I went with Flight Options ( now Sport Options I think) to Dortmund for the final in 2001 - no problems -they even provided a ticket for the match !

If you're sitting in their "yellow wall" it's opposite to the right

I'll bet they didn't get any positive feedback,, other than from themselves.

Jackie Meakin and all her lakkies, getting their flights, 3 night stay in the top hotel in Augsberg, scran, expenses all paid for.

Other than the day's graft they had to do bumping into each other trying to find the right envelopes I'll bet they had a whale of a time at the club's, hence our expense. I counted at least 8 of them in there and they still couldn't get it right, but I'll bet they all had a boss trip and will try their utmost to make it happen again as often as possible, citing stopping  touting as an excuse for a free jolly.

Disgraceful

Saw them all in the team hotel, having a great time. Really wound me up. I don't mind seeing people enjoying themselves but we are definitely funding this, make no mistake. if you are employed by LFC and asked to go and audit ticket collections, i'd do it. The club think nothing of the real fans. Then we saw a bus load of people getting shipped into the team hotel, no doubt on an extortionately priced trip organised by LFC. Im sure they didn't have all the prerequisites for Augsburg away.

Arriving at Dusseldorf Airport at 14.45 on day of game can anyone help with times of trains and cheapest fares to Dortmund, please?

we a re arriving at 16.30 and booked a flexible train ticket. 45€ for 2. So it means that we can just hop on when we arrive. Non flexi was 38€, but never know with the airplanes.

And straight from düsseldorf airport (flughafen) to dortmund hbf. And our hotel is near hbf so happy days.

If right I'd expect anyone with Beşiktaş who missed out on United tickets to qualify. Doubt it will fall lower than that

Depends what Spurs requested. They may not have thought they would sell the max.

No idea where that rumour is from but the numbers are difficult to work out because we never know how  many get allocated for sponsors and players.

Could well be a large number involved there.

If they stamped your passport like they used to then that would be far better, but as they don't if credit hunting is to be reduced there's not many other options than this
I don't get what your saying. The Augsburg system rewards credit hunting. If they transferred the credits to ppl who went when others "couldn't" surely that would be fairer?

People have been other people's cards for years. Transferring credits to the people who actually went wouldn't off been benificial for many. As I've said earlier in the thread, the system is to make sure tickets aren't going unused

Haven't you answered your own point there - if people have been using others' cards for years, shouldn't they have the credits now and not the card owners? In an ideal world I mean....

I accept that this system stops tickets being wasted, which is a start, but does nothing to prevent credit hunting imo

Exactly what I'm saying. The club aren't arsed about the credit hunting, they just want tickets used.

Yeah my mate and his Dad run Sport Ops.

I'll ask him about the take up so far tomorrow, he's in one of my main what's app groups.

Sport Options have added a line on their page saying it's 100% going ahead.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

if you look on eurostar you can get London to dusseldorf for £190 return   and then just worry about the dusseldorf to dortmund

You can go right through to Dortmund from St Pancras using thetrainline-europe.com. 89 Euros each way.

No. Hope we don't. Should have settled down by then and we are flying to the little Ryanair one Charleroi rather than the one hit today. It doesn't worry me much but the wives and mum's fret.

Just realised today that any collection system is going to make it even more difficult to get a spare or two for this, as no-ones going all that way with their passport, collecting one and then not going in themselves. Figured with the biggest allocation possible there might be an outside chance.

Oh well, so long as my mate can get his passport sorted I'll fly out regardless - game is secondary to me as just enjoying the occasion of loads of reds in a square somewhere, been 5 years now.

Anyone going via Weeze btw?
