13 of us going over. all reds who go home and away. going by ferry, get in to Dublin on Tuesday at 1700 and leave on Thursday afternoon.

will have to arrange a pub to meet up. a mate from Ireland is going to let me know of the cheapest places to drink nearer the time.

q bar http://www.qbar.ie/index.html looks ok and messers maguires brews its own beer http://www.messrsmaguire.ie/

Found a hostel, for 20 quid a night about 4km from the stadium which isn't bad.

Looking forward to this even if it is going to be a bit pricey! Three of us going over (ticketless at the moment) and staying at the Phoenix Park Travelodge. Flying over on the Tues and coming back Thurs.
Journo: ''So, let me get this right, train, coach, train, plane.''
Rafa: ''No, coach first because we will not be walking to the train station.''

i'm going to be trying to stay well clear of temple bar if i can help it and stay the other side of the river, i've heard horror stories of the prices in that neck of the woods but its not exactly cheap all round though to be honest, euro took a dive a few days ago so hopefully it improves by friday.

Irish lad I know says Temple Bar well expensive ( if you do want to check it out tho try during the day when there may be a few cheaper deals on ). We are staying the other side of the river also and probably be drinking around there, supposed to be a bit cheaper there. But lots of pubs around the ground so should be a good crack on matchday.

We arrive tues. morning, so probably be on it in the afternoon.

Try this link for pubs around the ground....http://dublin.ratemyarea.com/search?category_id=123&where=AVIVA+Stadium&where_id=1037#

We'll be lucky to sample the Dublin night life on the Tuesday, starting in spoons with beer and a brekkie at 10am, catch a train at 1130 then weve got 3 hours on the ferry. get in to dublin at around 5 so we should be well oiled.

Im going to stay away from Temple bar, going to sample the home brew at Messers McGuire and then see where the night takes us.

been told Coper face Jacks is a good night club and they have good deals on mid week, but bet they dont next week.

vomits...... its full of slappers (good thing) and crap cheesy pop music (bad thing)..

Head down the street to Tripod, its much better.
and on the same street is "Diceys", its got probably the best beer garden in Europe.
Beer here is cheapest in the city on a tuesday.

All this is on Harcourt Street, which is a street leading south of St Stephens green.

Not quite as good looking as you Gaz but maybe a little more smartly dressed!

Check this out, looks ok....http://oreillys.ie/special%20offers.html

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100544173668144663331.00047628bf55820699d68&ll=53.347311,-6.257336&spn=0.002946,0.010364&z=16&source=embed
no need to be smartly dressed in O'Reillys mate, haha..
But it is not a bad spot, the beer can be cheap. but it gets crammed inside. Still its not a bad spot, plenty of space outside in the smoking area anyway..

Don't forget the stadium is on the Dart (light train) Line, so anywhere along it is a good place to stay. The Dart runs along the coast north/south and heads into the city.

find the right pub on the right night, and its much better... Off Licence's are cheap though, so don't avoid them.

Try this place "Diceys" http://www.russellcourthotel.ie/barsclubs.htm
Its really cheap for beer on a tuesday, i wonder will it be the night before the final though? anyway, its only a couple of quid for a beer generally  speaking.

O'Reillys is cheap also, (and i think most days) it's right underneath Tara street Train/dart station.

Plus, right near to The stadium is a huge beach, just a massive strand really, no sun bathing or nothing, but you can certainly bring a load of beers out there and drink em if its sunny.. just clean up after yourselves ;D

Looking forward to this even if it is going to be a bit pricey! Three of us going over (ticketless at the moment) and staying at the Phoenix Park Travelodge. Flying over on the Tues and coming back Thurs.
that travelodge is a fair bit ouside of town mate,it's going to cost ye a few quid in taxi fares over the 3 days.if ye don't mind getting buses that'd be my advice,at least on the trips in to town and then just get taxis back at night.
the pub i would recommend on match day is the beggars bush, right up beside the ground.i always go there before games in landsdowne.it has a good few tables out front, great for when the weather's good.we'll more than likely be heading there next wednesday..
