I'm waaayyy behind on Dexter, only on Season 2.

I'm going to be honest, I know she's a headcase, and I can sense whats coming, but I don't think I've ever found a TV Character more attractive than Lila.

I felt like I had to come on a forum and express this.

Knew something had to happen to Hannah, and next week's little clip shows that.

Can't believe about Isaac either, didn't see that one coming. Good on them for challenging stereotypes, not making him the airy-fairy gay man that some people still imagine. I actually gasped when it came out, love when a show can surprise you. And me wanting him and Dexter to get it on isn't as far-fetched anymore either! haha

Something has to happen with Astor and/or Coady, for them to be back. I wonder if it's going to go like the books, where he starts teaching them how to kill? I doubt it, since next season is probably last, but there's gotta be some reason they're back?

God I love this show! Bring on next Monday already!

Was thinking the exact same thing. Jennifer Carpenter's expressions and body language were so believable that I almost bought it for real. I think that scene and a few others have cemented this episode as one of the best in everything I'm watching to date. The series has certainly redeemed itself from what I thought was a very ropey series before it with all the Doomsday Killer bollocks.

Nah, they showed his burnt corpse after Lila blew him up. He's dead. I could see him making a cameo in ghost-form like Harry.

Also if he was dead, it'd make no sense for him to have stayed quiet all these years.

The way they killed Isaac was ridiculous.He was killed by the half man.Really?Such a lame way.Also they made us believe all he cared was to take revenge of Victor's death and kill Dexter and what we saw?Giving Dexter a pass cause he found himself in a dangerous position.Thought it was really weak.
Over to Dexter now.I am not convinced by that bond he seems to have by Hannah.He said to her that he felt like that twice in his life.First when his mother was murdered and second,what went down with Hannah.Really?He wasn't scared when his sister was on Brian's table?When he found his wife in a blood bath?When Travis got his son?Also,we had that brilliant scene at the end of the last episode with Deb's confession and in the last one it was almost like it never happened.Finally,they brought that arsonist in the game,for what?Fill in a couple of episodes in order Dexter to get few tricks up his sleeve and then kill him?

Think you have to see how it plays out before judging it, this episode seems to be the one before the run in so to speak.

Thought the Isaac stuff was good, and I dont see how much further you couldve really dragged out that storyline. Dex working along side him was good imo, he showed he trusted Isaac like he has to trust Hannah and to allow himself to feel those emotions, Isaac has been a good influence on his characters development. Isaac wanted Dexter to love Hannah because he resonated with him, he lost his wife and blamed himself, just like Isaac. Not killing Dex and reaching out to him because he was vulnerable showed he was deeper than a cold mob killer that was just about revenge, there was a lot of the two characters mirroring each other in the whole episode, both in actual dialogue "if you believed that id be dead by now" and their situations and emotions.

The fire inspector stuff is interesting, its almost blatant that its him but thats never as simple as it is with this show, there will be twists yet im sure.

La Guerta is getting too close, its bubbling along under the surface and hasnt really come up yet because of the Isaac stuff, think that will now come into play very strongly. Can see Deb having a role in that too.

I thought it was a great episode again, and like I said its the episode which sets up the ending of the season. You have the start, then the mid season episodes when the story runs along, building up. Then you have one episode where theres a twist, or something new is introduced which sets up the ending. Cant wait.

Agree with the Quinn stuff, never really liked him.

Huge contrast in quality between season 6 & this the 7th. Character evolution of Dexter has added to the show exponentially, especially last episode. Sub plots much more effective too than they have been in the past. Can't get enough & really don't want the season to finish.
