Made a big step-up last season, wonder if he could make another one and just like Suarez who went from 11 to 23 to 31 league goals. I wouldn't put it past him.

I think that's the main factor: 13, 10, then 22 league goals in his first 3 seasons. He's always been an excellent all-round forward but would sometimes miss a sitter or make the wrong decision. Now he's just clinical and ruthless and has been a for a while now. He also has a subtlety to his play that was missing in the first two seasons, and goals such as the one against Bayern (where he left Neuer looking lost then lifted it over their defenders) shows he's not all about pace and power, and he seems to have more calmness and composure. He's been such an important signing for Klopp and also brings out the best in Bobby and Salah.

I agree. I think he's taken the crown of our best player for now (or certainly best attacking player). He has everything, and some of the goals he is pulling off are spectacular.

I don’t think so, that’s sort of the point isn’t it? We get stages during every season where each one of them looks like the ‘main man’. Mo was exceptional for about three months last season when Sadio dropped off a bit.

Mane has been outstanding for the last 18 months. He deserves to be spoken about at the same level as Aubameyang and Salah who he shared the golden boot with last season.

Exactly this, was listening to the post match show on taw and they kept going on like no one actually rates him. I'm pretty sure the general view is he's absolutely top class. Thing is since we have two more attackers at around the same level, praise is going to be spread out a bit.

The impression I get is some of our fans are trying to turn Salah vs Mane into a thing, so when they say Mane is underrated they mean it in contrast to the acclaim Salah gets it. Maybe not so much the case on here, but it defo seems to be a thing on like social media and other forums.

Mane was our best offensive player last season (when you add up his chances created, goals and assists).....i don't think any of our fans under-estimate him. I don't wanna turn this into salah vs mane debate but i do think we lose a lot more when mane is not playing (compared to salah). Thats just my opinion though.

When you add up chances created goals and assists,Salah was the more productive player. Not sure where you are getting your stats from
