I met Ray Houghton and Jack Charlton in the airport the other night. The two of them were great having pictures taken and signing autographs. Our plane was delayed so they were bought a heap of pints. Jack was on the flight and at this stage everyone was pissed singing Jackie's Army on the plane. Great craic!!

I was making my way towards the Main Stand last night, past the Shanks statue and I swear I saw Fabregas walk past with his mate.

One of those, 'I recognise that face... no wait!!' moments.

If it wasn't him it was his scouse twin - anyone ever seen a Fabregas look-a-like at the games??

Although, I think you're imagining things .....it could be possible .....he is best mates with Arteta, Xabi, Pepe and Torres so....anythings possible

Saw Neil Mellor coming out of Total Fitness gym in Preston yesterday. Probably attempting to get into top shape to face his old club in a month or so.

Me dad has just text me saying he has just seen Rafa and Sammy Lee in the Crowne Plaza hotel in liverpool, he reckons there there to talk to a player, i can't think of a reason for them to be there :S

Maybe Rafa knows his contract is not going to be renewed so he's applied for a job at the Plaza.........Sammy is in the same boat, fine pair of waiters.

at atletico at home i was by the main stand when someone knocked into me! as i was about to turn around and give them a mouthful, i realised it was Phil Thompson!

So i decided agaisnt the verbal abuse and just a reply of no problem mate, to his apology!

next time i was in, saw him again and he seemed very interested in talking to the saleswoman about the r8

Yeah my cousin has a flat in the Albert Dock and she has bumped into him and a few of the other players out at night............she has no interest in football (her boyfriend had to explain who SG was one night) but Sami was class when she got covered with some knob heads beer one night, bought her a drink and was generally a bit of a gent, she still did not have a clue who he was despite her boyfriend wetting himself with excitement
