Never heard of him ;D

Wouldn't surprise me if he's been made up!
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

Someone is going to have to explain to me how James Trafford is worth £19 million. Suspicious that ex Man City player Kompany is involved in such a purchase?

Unbelievable that. Arteta last season and now Kompany. Are Burnley stupid.

Burnley probably only have to actually give City £3m or something? City Group will take care of the rest is usually how it works? ;)

£19million for a 20 year old keeper with 87 appearances at League One (old 3rd division) level... wow!

Well that has surely whacked Kelleher's value up a fair bit?

Wouldn’t be surprised if Burnley decide £19m isn’t enough and they would like to increase the fee.

Anyone who comes through City's academy is going to be highly valued due to them (and Chelsea) having by far the best academies in the world. Same thing used to happen with anyone who came through at Barca.

England's undisputed U21 keeper is going to cost a bit. Take the tinfoil hats off for this one.

Seems a bit much that they'd get a buy back as well though. Why would Burnley pay such an inflated price but still City can buy him back if he does go on to do boss for them?

Their Academy will get a halo though from the likes of Lavia breaking out at Southampton and obviously Foden. The more players break through, the more it's a license to print money via sales like Chelsea's is.

They also sold Bazunu to Southampton last season for less money despite him arguably being more experienced, and he was absolutely awful. More comparable than the likes of Foden and Lavia.

Nope still not having it, especially for a goalkeeper as they are for some reason always cheaper than outfield players. Look at the signings Brentford, Brighton and Spurs have made in that position - all vastly more experienced players for less.

And you can't use one example of a club grossly overpaying for a player to justify another one doing the same thing, otherwise it never stops.

Players that have only played in League 1 simply do not cost £19 million. Let alone goalkeepers.

Kompany will know him from his time at City, he was probably highly rated all through the youth teams, same thing as Lavia.  People were scoffing at the price that Southampton paid for him at the time but a year later he's worth £40m.

He's also had a really good U21 tournament.

See also their GK sales of Angus Gunn (£10m rising to £13.5m) and Gavin Bazunu (£12m rising to £15m) to Southampton. The former had one season on loan in the Championship, the latter had been on loan no higher than League 1

TBF, some of our sales looked incredibly dodgy:

15m for Ibe
32m for Benteke
12.5m for Ward
24m for Solanke
23.5m for Brewster
17m for Williams

And some of those were 5 or more years ago so would be much more now. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. The market is mad.

We got back what we paid for Benteke, hardly dodgy, Ward was a full international (although the fee was quite high) with first team experience, Ibe was a matchday squad regular and played quite a bit, Brewster I'll give you, that was shocking, Solanke had played a full season for us, and Williams has lots of caps for Wales, so we weren't selling completely unknown youngsters for ridiculous fees like Abu Dhabi are.

17m for Williams

And some of those were 5 or more years ago so would be much more now. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. The market is mad.

never dodgy.. reasonable business most of those.  I think if you want to go Dodgy.. what about City and someone pointed our earlier what about the Chelsea Saudi sales  this summer and even Chinese sales a few years ago.  Plus the downright shocking buying and selling of players by Chelsea and all those dodgy youth buys and loans to European clubs .. Roman's Russia croniesand now last season and this one on their 8 year deals.

good money that..

We also did some good business at Bournemouth  Solanke, Ibe, Wilson.

Smith went there, Wilson went to Fulham.

Good business that. Never understood the constant calls for the people who made this possible to be removed …
If it was down to some on RAWK the he’s been tied down across the entrance to the bus station in town for the last week.

And we only got as much as we did thanks to the Ev ;D

Juventus banned from Europe next season. It'll be a good day when Man City are punished accordingly.

Will they get CAS to over turn it again?

From my memory weren't City banned as well, but CAS got them back in, rather than UEFA backing down?
